  she was lying in intensive care (i didnt know she only had a few days left)...... building up to the bloody convention in cardiff millenium stadium.

  Sorry for your loss. They are bastards. Part of the mind control they have on people is making conventions more important than your family. Continue to post and get this off your chest. Forgive yourself. Try to think of all the good times you had with your mother. Be thankful you had a mother who loved you while she was on this earth. Your story will touch the heart of many here.   OMG shunning story

  my wife and i went to fedex / kinko's this afternoon and ran into a girl who was df'ed several years ago, (her parents are quite the rabid jw's.).

  they have two daughters, and the younger one recently got married at the kh.. the older one who we were talking to proceeded to tell us that she decided to attend her younger sisters wedding ceremony which was fine despite the fact that nobody talked to her.. but after the wedding she was basically ushered out of the hall.

  she was not allowed to participate in any pictures, or allowed to speak to the new couple.

  I know what you mean Bella15. I remember serveral years ago I told a CO about how a PO abuse me as a child. After giving him the dirt of the story all he could tell me was It would make me a better man. It's a cult and a unloving one at that. Totally ADD

  Good job Terry. This is the one thing I know I will have to deal with when the misses and I open up our donut shop. JW coming in for donuts or trying to give me a WT. I dread the day that happens. But I know I will be able to handle it pretty much like you did. From the heart. At lease you did not get angry with them. That is my big fear I have is I will get angry with them. What you went through is very human. You felt out of control. But really you showed great control by just stating the facts. And you let the facts speak for themselves. Your hurt is deep and that is what you are feeling. Those of us who have been victims of this cult I feel will have to bare this kind of pain for the rest of our lifes. Take care you did good.   Let me go another direction with this. What you may have experience is a very mild form of PTSD. This is a reaction by your body over the emotional stress you went through in this high control cult. It is very common for many of us. Those who went through major abuse in this cult like myself may be going through major PTSD. I would say not knowing your back ground if this keeps happening I would seek professional help. It is always good to talk to somebody about these things. Hopefully this will all pass in time with a little research on your part. Take care. Totally ADD

  Years ago I think the late 70's or early 80's the sunday public talk was on animals. It was 45 mins. of hate of animals because according to the speaker they are not intelligent. They cannot worship god so they are nothing. My wife and I look at each other and said this quy does not have a clue about animals. Pets back then were look down on as a waste of time in our area. I wish that would have woke us up back then but it didn't. The JW cult claims to be the true religion but hates the biggest creation god did. Why because they are not intelligent according to them. In fact in the last few years they are finding animals are very intelligent. More than they ever thought. What do you expect from a bunch of old men cooped up in a apartment building in the middle of a city. Totally ADD

  Did you fake underlining the WT?

  i read on another topic " i remember when i used to carry microphones years ago in the jw cult- only about 30 % had their wt's pre-studied, the rest just wing it i truly believe" and it reminded me that people will assume you are not familiar with the material if you have not underlined, and that there will always be those who observe the lack of ink and consider you must be unprepared (and so 'weaker' than them).. many times i used to fake prestudy just for that reason.

  its easy to do, underline a random sentence or 2 in each paragraph or the sited scripture.

  you can wizz through an entire article in 3 minutes....did anyone else do that?.

  The first time I read COC I highlighted sentences in it. LOL Now I am reading it for a second time 3 years later and I am amazed at what I highlighted. Things that really don't mean anything to me now but I quess back then I found that statement to be profound. The last few years in the cult it would take me 5 mins. or less to underline the study article. I just read the question and was able to find the answer in split second. Thats just goes to show you how shallow the article really are. Totally ADD

  Welcome to the forum PaintedToeNails. Hang in there and listen to the good folks on the board that have given you good advice. It is all true about the fact that so called worldly people do have morals. Not like the JW cult tells you. As a fellow born-in I feel sometimes we have the hardest time in trusting people who are not JW. They are just like anyone else. Look in your own hall. Who are the ones you would trust and who are the ones you wouldn't? It is the same outside the JW cult. I know the JW cult likes to make it out they are superior over everybody else but the simple fact it people are poeple everywhere. Just use your common sense on these matters. Boy this weekend how many new ones have come on. It must be the heat. It is great you are waking up. My wife Reopened Mind and I would like to personal welcome you to this board.   i was df'ed a few months ago now and reading this forum has helped out heaps.

  based on that i wanted to contribute in the hope that my experiences resonate with someone and help with the healing proccess the way it's helped me.

  JW's And The Abuse Of Children...

  through out my 10yrs.

  of being involved w/ the organization i have witnessed a many pyhsical abuse.and i even have been to a many different halls, in which i saw the same abuse on children.the last thing that had made me leave was a case of childabuse, in which no elders nor any one did anything to help these poor children, so i reported them and the children were taken from the home that day, the husband went to jail then prision for a probation violation by hurting the children.the little one of age 5 was punched in the face, then kicked down a flight of stairs..this was it for me, after reporting this, i left the organization and never looked back..how sad, when people just stood by and watched this happen, even an elder's wife, and no one did anything to help these poor children.and the beatings i witnessed in the bathrooms was just awful.after my research of this dangerous cult, and then the beatings of the children was enough for me to take my 5 year old daughter and myself out of this dangerous organization and never look back.

  yes, we lost a many frineds, but i still keep in contact w/ some of my jw"s friends who sneek over at times to visit me..i sure pray that god will helo them escape this dangerous organization before its too late..

  I mention this in another post. The JW cult thinking is that children should not be children. They should be little adults. Think like adults and act like adults. They by doing this takes every shred of innocent childhood away from their children. For example who in their right mind would force a small child to go to a stranger home and knock on the door and try to talk about the bilbe. Is this not a thing that should only be reserved for a adult to decide? But yet the cult force young children to do this very adult thing. The WT cult is responsbile for tens of thousands of lost childhoods. Which in turn has caused extreme emotional problems for many. In the mid 50's and early 60's when I was a young child the WT thinking was children were a nuisance and in the way. When you live in a environment of unloving parents and unloving congregation members that is abuse x 10. Oh yes belts and hair brushes were the tool of choice when I was young. It's a very dangerous cult for children. Totally ADD
