Eric Reeder's Memorial?
by NeverKnew ini've seen the insulting obituary and like all of you, i'm blown away.. i've also seen several threads of individuals crying out for an opportunity to meet with others on this board.
maybe it's time to recognize the need for an assembly (if you will) to foster a familial relationship for those on this board!.
what if a memorial were planned, in eric's honor of course, for a weekend next september in north carolina?

just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.
it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

Fb status of a Young JW Mom. Sooo Sick!
by 3dogs1husband incan't believe that we made it through the whole assembly, **** wasn't feeling good last night, has a cold, was pretty cranky, then he seemed fine and minutes later im making a bowl with my hands for him to throw up in while we are sitting (the joys of parenthood) then into a plastic bag, then very quickly ran to the bathroom for even more throwing up, but suprisingly we stayed for the rest of the day.
trying to think of a response.
i am not "out" on fb soooo sick from this i wanna throw up myself...poor children!.

Sick, sick mother.
Pat one assembly we attended, there was a sister who sat behind us and coughed continually the whole day. Within 7 days, my entire family was sick and my daughter had to go to the hospital. How unloving and inconsiderate of people showing up at the meetings I'll and infecting everyone else.
I will bet the folks sitting next to the puking child were delighted by the smells and sounds. That poor kid.

They have been warned not to go to ant house with a "no trespassing" sign. This will not guarantee they will stop coming but they will be libel to arrest if they come onto your property.

ironically, the religion and publisher of this statement is one of the biggest offenders with their shunning policy of its members who come to the conclusion that their form of worship is unacceptable.. for some, this severe shunning is too much to bear.. ...help me through this my old friends...i really did not want to be dfd!...i am fourth generation....i had already been shunned by my lifelong friends due to my outspoken words regarding my discovering we had changed the bible to make it say what jw's want it to...but now i have lost my family....oomps.

It is time we as individuals decide we should do all we can to educate the public about this dangerous cult. We must use every opportunity to engage people in meaningful dialogue, doing so to reach their hearts and minds, lovingly, so as not to scare people away from the warning we are givIng.
I am making it a personal goal to tell everyone I meet the truth about jehovahs witnesses. When I see the magazines left in laundramats or waiting rooms I will personally destroy them.
We can each make a difference. We must stop this crazy cult as best we can.
Love to all mourning the loss of our dear OOMPA.

The results so far - three months remaining for the 2012 survey...
by cedars ini mentioned recently about the 2012 jw survey, and how we are falling behind with the number of votes in comparison with last year.. you may remember that, in response to this situation, i uploaded the following video to youtube in an attempt to garner more votes.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wpcgclxqda.
you'll be pleased to know that, in the four days following the launch of this video, the survey received 76 new votes - boosting the total number from 936 to 1,012.. it's great to see that the video has had such a good response.
at the current rate (19 votes per day) we would surpass 2,700 votes by the end of the year - not a mind-blowing number but a great sample nonetheless.. after chatting with juan viejo2, we both decided it would be good to post an article on the website letting people know the results of the survey so far.. here is the link.... http://jwsurvey.org/cedars-blog/the-time-left-is-reduced-your-2012-survey-needs-you-2.

This is such sad, sad news. We have all suffered a great loss. We are all hurt and angry at the same time. He recently wrote a thread on how difficult the new adjustments were for him. I wish he had let us all know what he was planning. We may have been able to stop him.
Dear OOMPA, we will miss you and are so sorry for what you suffered through. Sorry we couldnt help you as much as you needed us too. So very sorry.

blame the cult.. suicide is a very complicated behavior.. mental health professionals caution against assigning blame when people kill themselves.. being disfellowshipped is a life stress and some people are not equipped mentally to handle it.

This was a needless and tragic death. There are plenty of people who would have been happy to help him. How can we stop anymore broken people from losing their lives because of this filthy and disgusting cult? We need to figure it out.
