  Yesterday was my Son's 21st Birthday

  yesterday was my oldest son's 21st birthday.

  as many of you know, i've been disfellowshipped for over 3 years now.

  in the spring of this year i did write to the local boe and request my disfellowshipping be rescinded.

  It must have really hurt when your loving act of sending the Scotch to your son was not lovinging accepted. This was a symbolic marking of a milestone and not a birthday party. It is like going to get your drivers license upon turning 16. No disrepect was meant and I'm sure he is just trying to send you the message that he will not have anything to do with you until the return to the organisation.

  I hope he wakes up before any more precious time goes by which you can never get back. You have my sympathy.

  if i write a book(scratch) about my life as a deaf jw since birth and ex jw, i would like to criticize few dubbies but i would not name them at all.

  would i be free from libel lawsuit if i do not name them?

  during the last two years i ve been studying without watchtower publications and it really opened my eyes.. i think i made a mistake to tell my findings about the "truth" to my brother.. here s the translation of email i got from him.... .

  All these bands mentioned are great. I am so glad REO Speedwagon was mentioned. I have their Hits CD and love every song on it. I saw them live at an airshow in Oskgosh WI last year and they were awsome.

  the latest edition of the free in christ ministries journal contains a very interesting article entitled the watchtower and masons.. drawing upon material from the book the watchtower & the masons by fritz springmeier, it gives the following parallels between the things that c t russell believed and those taught by the masons:.

  * both believe jehovah is the most important word being the basis of their dogma, and the name of their god.

  * both believe god yielded power to a lesser god.
