Big Favor- I want to compile all the older WTLIB CDs
by itsibitsybrainbutbigenoughtosmellarat inseveral have asked about wtlib cds and usually everyone wants the newest available, but i would like the older ones and try a compatibility mode suggested by a jw.net member within windows, to run them.
they have some books and brochures etc... on them that the newer ones don't.
i want them for referance as well as simply a collecting standpoint.

Reccomended reading suggestions please.
by TheWormTower inso i've read carl olof jonsson's books the gentile times reconcidered and sign of the last days when, also raymond franz's two books crisis of conscience and in search or cristian freedom.
i am now reading a book entitled the bible unearthed by neil asher silberman and israel finkelstien which has been interesting however it stops at the old testement.
i'm looking for reccomendations on books to read next that go into the historicity of the new testement particularly from an archaeological and historical point of view.. thanks..

2. 1962 -The Semantics of Biblical Language by James Barr
Certainly the standard for higher education on this subject....

Several have asked about WTLIB CDs and usually everyone wants the newest available, but I would like the older ones and try a compatibility mode suggested by a JW.net member within Windows, to run them. They have some books and brochures etc... on them that the newer ones don't. I want them for referance as well as simply a collecting standpoint. I am not looking to sell them, and will gladly copy and distribute to any who also want them. For example, The 1963 Babylon Book is on the earlier Cds... If anyone has these they can be copied onto a CD and mailed to me. They are a bit large for posting unless you have a paid subscription to a service like Mediafire or sendspace. Any costs will be taken care of.
I have the following CDs 1999, 2003,2006-2011,
but am looking for the in between years
1993-1998, 2000-2002, 2004 and 2005.

Since the early WTCD doesn't have older publication
by thecrushed ini didn't ask why they don't because their own literature makes them out as horrible frauds!
my question is how do you get a hold of stuff like the "finished mystery" "the divine plan of the ages" and other pertinent false doctrine that has been swept under the rug and locked in the coffers at wt headquarters?
i feel so helpless because if i show my wife info on the net she will just write it off as apostate and altered like we have all been trained to think.

We are all looking, when in reality to quote the bible verse "he is never that far off" to begin with. Some of you MAY, have lost a belief in a higher power after the WT experience. Some have found Christ. Some say they have truly found Jehovah. Some simply hate all forms of religion, and discredit their varied tenets. But, for some reason our human brain asks for answers to these types of questions, so there are all always people who are all too eager to fill the void in between our ears, usually setting themselves "on high" along the way.
The reason you trusted them is simply because you are a good person.
You evidentally think you need or want, to please a God. Keep up your search for the connection. This was a learning experience. Just as the last 50 years have been for me. The reality that more than half my life was not for the real truth, is lamentable but perhaps the way to look at things is in this way.
Life and spirituality may be in discovering what it is not! Maybe we learn later on? I don't know? For some simply the brain telling them they know for sure is all they need. I know that acknowledging for one example, the importance of Gobekli Tepe to the history of humanity is profound. I think a supreme being would or should be proud of a person realizing truth, real solid factual happenings, history, art, science, math, the things that relate to reality, rather than the current quote unquote "uptodate" thoughts from some body of men demanding allegiance no matter what.
Bottom line, you are a good person, that is why you trusted someone or something. Keep learning. Dispense with the falsehoods as you learn otherwise, and you'll find what feels right.
