  one of my favourite youtubers, winston from jamaca (watchtower examination) has provided some feedback from jacko's testimony at the victorian royal commission.

  They see themselves as deserving the Complete Trust of all of jws.

  2009 WT: "Since Jehovah God and Jesus Christ completely trust the faithful and discreet slave, should we not do the same?"

  No other group of Christians is so pious and self-righteous to say that God trusts them COMPLETELY! It is an incredibly conceited statement.

  But the big lie in Jackson's testimony said: "We view ourselves as trying to fulfill that role."

  Jackson was fully aware of what has been published for several decades. He is on the Writing Committee.

  What Qualifications does Geoffrey Jackson have as a Translator of the Bible ? In any Capacity ?

  geoffrey jackson left school at the age of 15 and began pioneering , he never attended a university ,never studied ancient greek ,hebrew or aramaic at any recognized teaching academy , he has no certificates or credentials / qualifications from any place of learning that is approved by a competent body of religious instruction .. and by his own words at the australian royal commission , under oath he stated that was his primary role as a translator of scripture into other languages .. a 15 year old drop out from school in australia is the chief/ prime translator of the bible for jehovah`s witnesses world wide in their many languages that they preach in .. it would be very interesting to see his report cards for those few years he did attend school .. is it just me , or does anybody else see that his qualifications don`t come up to scratch to be a translator of the old testament or the new testament scriptures , and be taken seriously as a translator of either , into any language.. if i am wrong anywhere in this post feel free to correct me .. smiddy.

  I heard a story that Geoffrey ran home from school one day all excited with his report card, yelling to his dad: "Look Dad! I got a B in English!!" His dad said "let me see that.... That's a D, you moron!"

  VA shooting suspect was raised a JW! He mentions it on his Twitter account

  anyone in the usa following this morning's shooting "on-air" live tv will know what i'm talking about.

  bryce williams (not real name, but on-air name) shot and killed 2 people on live television this morning in roanoke, va. he was wearing a go-pro camera, and uploaded his first-person video onto his social media accounts.

  i've seen his twitter feed (before it was taken down), and not very far down he mentions being raised a jw.

  Watching news events like this with my dad when I was still a JW, and asking him how he felt about this world, he would say :"bad things happen". This was a man who survived over 3 years of bloody battles fighting from N. Africa up thru Europe into Germany during WW2. So I suppose he knew what he was talking about. Murder is a common denominator in human history. Not much you can do about it. It's horrible the misery they leave behind.

  the membership rule is simple, you join the organisation for life and undertake to serve for life.. my o.p is based on the poet robert burns who talked about the gift to " see ourselfs as others see us".

  i think maybe the hardest thing for me to leave, the jehovers witness " organisation" was to accept how my family and friends will now "see" me.. so my questions are how difficult was it to leave:-.

  a) knowing the reaction of friends and family?.

  Ah...i remember the comraderee of the biker gang quite well.

  (not really. i asked to join but they wouldn't let me in... and they beat me pretty severely. and i may have been compromised by a fellow named Road Dog)

  NWT is soooo inaccurate....

  hi this is for the lurkers.. please start reading from another translation and use tools like www.biblehub.com to verify the differences you find.. biblehub has an interlinear and a strongs concordance and heaps of dictionaries and commentaries.. you don't have to be a translator but you can clearly see how the watchtower bible and tract society has changed the bible to devalue jesus, to support their idea of a paradise earth hope for christians and many other false doctrines.. i could never understand why the jw's where attacked when they chose to translate the bible - now i know.. seriously people, there are a lot smarter people than me on this forum and heaps of research.

  No one in their right mind would trust the New World Translation - simply because of the deceptive nature of Jws.

  Their own 'Insight Book' says that they are under no obligation to "divulge truthful information to people who are not entitled to it." I don't have time to list all of WT lies over the past 100 years, but evidence is abundant. They publish pure nonsense. They are serial liars. They cannot be trusted.

  How could they dare publish a translation of the Bible and not tell who the translators are? Is that something WT feels that their readers are not entitled to also?

  They did not want the world to know that they were not qualified to do ANY translation. Also, that they had relied on the spiritualist Johannes Greber's translation.

  Also, an interesting observation by Dr. Bruce Metzer of Princeton University: "if JWs take this translation serious, they are polytheists."

  so when my mom died in 2007 the main thing that kept me from losing it was that i knew i would see her again in the earthly paradise that i read and sang about in the jw publications.

  i honestly fully believed in it.

  we were best friends and it was devastaing to lose her.

  This whole exJW thing is a huge adjustment for all of us and takes strength to adapt and change. WT has really made a mess of things. Those on this site are unique and outsiders can't comprehend what it takes to come out of a cult. But now we found each other and I am grateful for the support. You seem to be a very genuine and loving person and you may not realize it but reading just this little post has helped me and I just know you will be an asset to others here as they learn to adjust too. I expect many, many JWs to leave WT in the very near future. They are all going to feel that gut punch and need someone to reach out to. I keep reading posts of young ones who feel trapped by WT and need our support to help them cope.

  I'm glad you were best friends w/ your Mom. I lost my Mom a few years ago too. But she's still inside my heart and I'm often surprised at how something will trigger a memory of her unconditional love for me (like when I read my grandkids the same stories that she read me as a boy). We will always have that and that comforts me to know. It sounds like your kids will always have that too.

  yes Truthexplorer... Steves last statement. Those still stuck in are not alone...

  He felt that was important to get that message out there. I'm new here, but just in the past week I've read posts that just tear your heart out from young ones literally "trapped" at the KH, reaching out and desperate for our support here on this site to help them make it through just one more meetng. A very real plea to "HELP ME"!

  maybe it's the 'Shepherd' in him, I don't know, but Steve was reaching out to them. He said: "Anyone still stuck in the KH just know that you are not alone...there are 1000s of us there...sitting in KHs...you just can feel it. Don't give up. We're all trying to get out together. Important to know you're not isolated...you're not alone."
