my wife saw shunning first hand
by Aussie Oz inwell the other day we dropped daughter back to her mother, after what was a fabulous whole week with me.. sitting on the verandah of the house is grandpa jw, about 80 and recently widowed.
now, he is my ex father in law and we got on very good back in the day, even helped build his house.. anyway, i drop daughter off and i am looking at the man, who in the whole 10 mins that he sat there, gave one cursory glance our way as i stood on the footpath opposite the house talking to my kids.. this is a guy who will talk the leg off a chair, a guy who will start a conversation with a total stranger in the street, the man is a talker.. i mention to wife as we departed..."poor bastard, not even 'allowed' to say hello the father of his grandkids''.
if i was not d/f i know he would have come over, no doubt whatsoever.

I have recently been getting into paranormal type movies. ALWAYS loved the F13 series, Halloween etc. Now I just bought Child´s play about a demonized doll etc. Very good movie. My wife will not see it though.

Once you realized the organization is simply a religious corporation, how did you leave? I quit going in 2010.
Did you fade? I just quit going. Made the Elders think I was going to the spanish hall.
Were you forced out? Nope.
How did you adjust to life on the outside? I had already done it for around 5 years. I moved to Mexico and know NO ONE here. Hardly anyone speaks English so it is easier to adjust to life because I cannot communicate with anyone.
Do you still have social or family connections within the organization? I still let the brothers think I am in the truth in the states.
What did you do to supplant the lost friends, routine, and sense of purpose? I am happy. Turned my attention to my passions. Collecting DVD´s etc.

This Made Me So Thankful I am No Longer A Christian
by cofty ini was following some links researching something to do with my condition when i came across this article by the well known christian author john piper called "don't waste your cancer".. if i had still been a christian when i got my diagnosis i would have been subjected to these sort of pious platitudes.

I am a cancer survivor too. Watching alot of TV and sleeping. That was my ticket! I drink two tablespoons of Baking Soda in water now and my body will never have cancer ever again.

Do you want/expect your kids to take care of you when you're old?
by GoingGoingGone ini had a conversation with my daughter tonight that got me pretty upset, and i'm wondering if i'm expecting too much from my kids.. both my kids went to outstanding colleges, have landed very well-paying jobs, and have very bright financial futures ahead of them.
this makes me especially happy because my husband and i have always had to struggle financially (we both grew up jws and never got to go to college.
) it was a sacrifice for us to send them to college, but i would do it all again in a heartbeat.

and you can tell by the picture that anyone with a beard or goatee is definitely not a real christian.. the next article, remain in my word has this quote that condemns catholics but seems eerily close to what jws believe:.
