  What I dont get is that Adam and Eve hid from God because they were ashamed. That shows a contrite heart right there. That they were sorry for what they did. If they were SUCH hardened sinners then they would've given God the finger right there. IF they were true rebels etc. IF they were true rebels they would never have taught their children about God. But yet they did. They molded Abel to be a great servant of God. Does that sound like someone who chafed under God's rule?

  Are JWs the worst restaurant customers?

  (a little background info before i ask my question...).

  my sister-in-law (non-jw), who manages a popular chain restaurant near a kingdom hall, just found out that my wife and i have recently faded, so she decided to get something off her chest the other day... you guessed it: she wanted us to know that jws are the worst customers ever!

  she then told us some really embarrassing stories about how jws would request a table for 15 to 20 people (after a sunday meeting) and then (when the bill came) some of the jws would start deliberating amongst themselves on whether or not the waiter was diligent or not (to justify the low tip he was getting anyway).

  Revealing some private info about myself here....I OWN a restaurant. What I can't stand is 30 will come in....ORder just coffee's or something small like that and then INSIST on seperate checks! Pisses me off.

  i have more to say on this and its implications, but i'll keep this short to get some initial discussion.

  to those that believe in god, suppose he were to hypothetically change various standards of right and wrong, suppose with the new scrolls to be opened.

  things such as rape, theft and immorality are now perfectly fine and acceptable.

  the witnesses always blame everything on adam and eve (besides satan).

  for some reason, when i used to look at the my book and bible stories when i was little, i used to feel bad for adam and eve?

  its kinda like getting mad at a baby for making a mistake.

  district attorney r. seth williams - the first prosecutor in the country to charge a church official for abusing of children they were supposed to protect.. what a great god/father that we have.

  Phrases that control the mind and thinking

  some of the words that i always look out for in watchtower literature are the following:.

  without doubt...... evidently...... obviously....... we can conclude from this......... can you think of more?.

  a lot has to be learnt from blondie's watchtower studies and some of it is that when the wt society has no evidence for a supposition it plants one of these phrases that suggest stupidity on the part of the reader if he/she doesn't agree with what idea the watchtower society has come up with!.

  I have been reading Wayne Dyer's book Excuses Begone. It's helping me alot to leave the org. You can leave the org physically but mentally might be harder. It's a great book. One I would recommend to witnesses. I am exploring things now and trying to find out who I am since leaving. IT has been a pleasure. No more WT controlling words for me. Dyer says to get rid of them and replace them with positive words for yourself.

  My cousin got engaged to a Canadian sister nineteen days of meeting each other.

  my cousin went to canada in february to meet a witness sister who is scriptually divorced from her husband.

  they found that they liked each other enough to continue a relationship.. ( he lives in the united states) he went back to canada 19 days later to ask her in marriage.
