Funny, but while I was going through this study at the meeting, I kept thinking about, Blondie's take on all of this.

It is very apparent that the ORG has launched a crusade against any thinking that different than what they present. This WT study confirms that.

I know that this site and many others will only increase.

This is all interesting and thanks for Barb, other legal Minds that helped in clarifying this matter for us.

I didn quite follow all the charges, but the protection of children and the shunning issue are really important matters to address and hopefully resolve.

I don't hold much hope though. Remember the France legal issues against the WT. Now the ORG is claiming a legal victory over that one.

.....bringing someone into the organization of jehovah's witnesses?

personally, i had several bible studies, but thankfully, never got any of them all the way to baptism.

my conscience is clear..

I've had a few successful studies. I have to say that I don't feel regret at all.

There are some nuts in our faith mind you, but, there are some genuine friends in here as well. Some have problems with family that are out of the faith, and are dealing with that in a fine way. Probably not in the way the ORG wants them to deal with it, however, these are still God Fearing individuals. Some of my studies have fallen inactive and faded. We still chat with each other and I don't grill them.

I know that some bring in studies and many don't come into the faith. I think that this is great. People are wise enough not to jump into something that they can't live with.

today i uploaded a new article to my blog taking a fresh look at a now 40-year-old watchtower illustration of what it terms the modern-day theocratic organization of jehovah's christian witnesses.

something is missing in the picture.

Yes, that's right.

Yet, I do remember at that time that Jehovah's wife was his heavenly organization, and that some of the annointed were women. But, none served on the GB. Too bad...I think women would have a good voice in this administration.

Question: If Jesus counts women worthy of being included in the Administration Body in the Heavens, and the Heavens are higher that the earth, why can't we allow women to help out in the administration?

Let's get women into those pant suits.

it is not our right to tell others how to run their personal affairs'' anybody here ever been told to do something/how to do something by an elder or other jw?

in regards to job situation/family for example, with no direct scriptural backing...

That's why I like the Road Runner, and that Coyote, ever notice how they never talked? Just that annoying Be ep..Beep. Now that cartoon should of been shown on that bus. I don't think that animals can talk..common that is silly, but the Muppets, now they are real.

I don't want to meddle here, but, anyone that wears a tie has got to be friggin crazy. That is a pagon custom. Common guys, don't give into this satanic influence. You know in your neck area. There are two small arteries. If they get constricted, they will cause a stroke. Why do you think Abraham, Noah, etc lived as long as they did. Gotta be the ties, man.

Im disfellowshipped

will these feelings of guilt and panic ever go away?

I'm surprised that your parents are kicking you out of the home that you and your son have become comfortable with. Sounds like their gift to you had strings attached. You may have to encounter a lower standard of living setback. This is the result of the Disfellowshiping ruling. They are putting pressure on your dad, and sounds like they are winning. How sad that is.

I know of some that have moved into their parents home when they needed help. But, this does affect the dad's privilledges in the congregation. I remember a Bible drama at a District Convention that showed a father stepping down as an Elder to help his disciplined daughter. The Elder father was willing to do that. Your dad seems to like his position more than the security his own daughter and grandson. I know some parents in the faith that are like that. I also know of some parents that will give this up to help their children. There is no shelter from this pain, unfortunately. This is what I would describe as a good reason to cry over. Crying is not bad, it helps in the healing process.

Talk to a counsellor, and tell them that you need some shelter for yourself and son. This will deal with your shelter needs, but, the pain from your parents cutting you off, is wrong. Not like the Prodigal Son, who the father gave him his inheritance. His son's bad deeds, didn't prevent him from what was entitled to him. His father may of disliked the son's decision, but, he was a fair righteous man. That reasoning is being clouded over by the Society's shunning ruling.

I truly hope that things will work out.
