In an ideal world no, I would have preferred Afghanistan in a stable, democratic state before the US/NATO coalition did that.

Stable Afghanistan is not possible, as the average IQ of the nation is 85.

sometime within the last 2 weeks, someone took a sledgehammer to the pyramid monument in allegheny.

they stole the topstone, smashed the cross and crown emblem and removed the seal.. personally i'm surprised it lasted this long untouched.

although through the years russell's grave has been vandalized, it was always repaired by the bible students..

Uhm, because the vaccine reduces your chance of getting Covid and reduces you symptoms, especially death or serious illness. Pretty simple.

Risk is rarely a one-size-fits-all calculation, and is often multifaceted.

The vaccine is what it is. There was no way to know how good it could be before it was used. It is certainly better than not taking it.

What, then, is the reason behind the FDA approval process, normally spanning two to three years, not counting the trials? Look at the Pfizer FDA approval - read the entire letter. There is a list of recommended trials and tests that normally would have to be completed but were bypassed in this case.

You don't need to release it to test the effects, just like you don't need to pass a bill to find out what's in it.

I never understood the "read-this-scripture-to-them-and-it-will-set-them-straight" argument. Or the "if-Jesus-isnt-God-then-how-do-explain-what-he-said-here" argument. There is a rationalization for every scripture. There is an explanation for every objection.

They just disagree with you, in much the same way one might disagree about the meaning of a passage in Moby Dick.

in a scene reminiscent of the fall of saigon, the usa embassy staff have been evacuated by helicopter.. for a third time in asia ( a fourth, if you count usa supported chiang kai shek's defeat in mainland china) usa supported forces have been defeated.

more than 1 trillion dollars wasted and a huge deathtoll (both sides) afghanistan is back to where it started,.

will the taliban behave differently this time ?
