The WT operates by guilt and fear which can only be overcome by an endless treadmill of works which are never good enough.

Sagely advice of a CO
by Vidqun in“a circuit overseer started out by saying that on this last round of the circuit, the one thing he noticed the most...is that everyone is physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually drained...and that cuts across all barriers and demographics within the truth.
he then said that the one common thread that ran among nearly everyone was this: we feel guilty for feeling bad.
he said because we are told to endure with joy, our minds can cause us to feel enormous guilt over feeling this way...and then, my dear brothers and sisters...he proceeded to blow our collective minds.. he asked us to turn to daniel 8:27….

Disfellowshipped for Fornication
by TxNVSue2023 inhi i want to tell my story and get advice.
i'm a single sister ( in usa) that has been baptized for 20 years.
i came from the world, so did not grow up in the truth and i have no family in the truth -- i am alone.. last year i met a brother & we did have premarital sex while we were dating.

By "disfellowshipping offense," I mean "conduct for which a JW can be disfellowshipped according to Watchtower organization rules."

A Watcher,
I guess we have different definitions of PIMI.
Do the WT authorities (GB, CO, elders) consider whether or not to post here to be a conscience matter?
Wouldn't that be important for a PIMI Jehovah's Witness to know?
Why would you consider seeking their opinion to be "looking for trouble" unless you believe there is a good chance that they would disapprove of what you are doing?
If you truly believe that the elders have been appointed by holy spirit to be spiritual shepherds over the flock, why wouldn't you be willing to submit the question to them and humbly submit to whatever they direct?
Isn't that what a PIMI Jehovah's Witness would do?

A Watcher,
Have you gone to your elders, told them you are posting here, and asked them if that's a DFing offense?
If you haven't, are you willing to do so?
If not, why not?

A Watcher,
How can you consider yourself to be PIMI when you post on this website, knowing that doing so is a disfellowshiping offense?

Sue,
Please realize that posting on this forum is also a disfellowshiping offense.
Do you believe that you should now come forward to the elders and confess that as well?
That would almost guarantee that you won't be reinstated.
The elders will consider that to be far worse than physical fornication.
The vast majority of people who posted on this thread would strongly disagree that the JC made the right decision, and they would advise you to get as far away from the WT as you can without seeking reinstatement.

Do we blame the Governing Body too much?
by no-zombie ini'd like to start this post with a part from the movie 'v for vendetta'.
here in a dystopian state, the main character named v, explains why things have gone so bad ....
those who do not want us to speak.

Samcats wrote, "It is foolish to expect anything else from an organization run by humans. If the complainers here were in charge it would be just as imperfect."
Imperfect humans run every religious organization on earth, but they don't all claim to be God's sole channel of communication.
Nor do they all insist on being believed and obeyed without question.

If JW is not the truth, then what is the true religion?
by TxNVSue2023 ineven though i'm disfellowshiped ( & i belive wrongfully so).
i still belive this is the truth.
i have been d'f for about 8 months now and working on reinstatement.

The OP seems to equate "the true religion" with an organization.
That's a big mistake.
But even if you conclude it must mean that, then please read Captives of a Concept by Don Cameron.
It completely debunks the WT's claim that Jesus was impressed with the spiritual food it was dispensing in 1918-1919 and therefore chose to appoint it to be his faithful and discreet slave.

Before you apply for reinstatement, you would do well to investigate the history of the organization to determine whether it is really "the truth" and "Jehovah's organization" as it claims.
I suspect you have some doubts about that or you wouldn't have posted on this forum, but maybe I'm wrong about that...

Great question.
It's similar to the questions:
1. If the faithful and discreet slave is really Jehovah's channel of communication in these last days, exactly how does he communicate with THEM?
2. If the faithful and discreet slave is really Jehovah's channel of communication (in a way that no other religious organization is), why have they gotten so many things wrong that needed to be changed?
3. If the revelations the faithful and discreet slave receive from Jehovah are progressive truths (getting brighter and brighter), wouldn't they start out as true but incomplete rather than as totally false?
