  aaaaggghhhh!!!

  it's the co's visit this week at "my" hall.

  i've been dreading this week and now the nightmare is starting to unfold :s the co just called wanting to know how i'm doing.

  tell me how much the elders worry about me and how much the brothers miss me, but nobody has really tried to contact me in person.

  Same here, I hear so much how people miss me and I have heard of one sister who cried because I haven't been going to the meetings. But has she or the others even called, txt, emailed etc...? NO!

  Fake love, and crocodile tears!!!

  Any ideas on how i can avoid this "shepherding" hell?!?

  Just simply refuse, I did, the elders called me a few times and I simply kept saying: "Thank you so much for calling, it's nice to hear that you care but I am doing extremely well and have no need for help as their is nothing to help me with. Thank you but no thanks"

  It worked well.

  how does nubers 13v33 prove that they were the same nephilim talked about in gen 6v3

  can any one enlighten me on this what seems an additional scripture to support the nephlim exsistance after the flood since we know that this was a bad report brought back by the 12 spies does it not also mean that they may have not been the actual nephilm of noahs day but a stronger wilder race of caananites?.

  i need all your input on this as i have started to question a few things and i want to make sure i get my facts right before i engage in disscussions with elders.

  Gen 6:4

  Nephilim. The meaning of this term is uncertain. It occurs elsewhere in the OT only in Num. 13:33, where it denotes a group living in Canaan. If both passages refer to the same people, then the Israelite spies (Num. 13:33) are expressing their fears of the Canaanites by likening them to the ancient men of renown. Although in Hebrew Nepilim means “fallen ones,” the earliest Greek translators rendered it gigantes, “giants.” This idea may have been mistakenly deduced from Num. 13:33; one must be cautious about reading it back into the present passage. The Nephilim were mighty men or warriors and, as such, may well have contributed to the violence that filled the earth (see Gen. 6:13).

  Anakites are descended from the Nephilim (Gen. 6:4) and therefore must be quite invincible. (Given the exaggerated tone of the spies' account, their reference to Nephilim is most likely an expression of their fear and an excuse for their disobedience, rather than an accurate statement indicating that the Nephilim were still living after the flood.)

  CO visit soon. Haven't been to meetings for a few weeks.

  it's been a few months since i've been out in service and almost a month of no meetings.

  the co is visiting soon and i'm already paranoid enough about random stops by elders (although this hasn't happened yet).

  should i worry when the co is here?.

  I can't imagine how hard it must be for people who are baptized with all their family in the truth. I have it extremely easy compared to most of you but out of my own life experience this is one of the hardest things I've done.

  Yeah you're right. Reading peoples stories here on JWN, on how they have lost wives/husbands/children/grandchildren etc.. to this cult is heart breaking. You are very fortunate with your situation but just because you don't have as much to lose, doesn't mean it's not hard on you. As you're young, you'll learn so much from this experience. A great life lesson to have for the future. I envy you, your situation and learning about cults from a young age.

  I felt the same, freedom was so sweet when I left for good. The hatred and anger did come later for me as well. Be proud that you have saved your family from a life of pure shit! They will grow up without the crap & zombies from the KH. People are so insulting when you leave, I just heard someone insult me two days ago to a family member who is still going to the KH. They don't know how to act, at the end who gives a crap what they say about us, our lives are so much better.

  Thanks for story, I love reading how people leave this cult and feel better for it.

  there is a big insert in the jan kingdom ministry about the family worship night (which has evolved new capital letters - like governing body.).

  some helpful suggestions include the head of the household putting an agenda on the fridge door a few days ahead for the family to "build excitement and anticipation" (i kid you not.

  ) the provision is compared to the sabbath arrangement as a gift from god.

And a young married pioneer couple say that they wake up in the morning & say with excitement "Today is our Family Worship Night."

  Has anyone ever had a 'Near Death Experience' ?

  i'm wondering if anyone here has had a "near death experience" or know of someone that has.

  as an example: such as floating above your body during your operation when the doctors 'lose' you and you make a decision to return back to your body even though the bright light and some voice tell you otherwise... .

  did it change you/them in anyway?.

  Interestingly, when Christians have near death experiences, they usually see Jesus or Mary.

  When Muslims have near death experiences they tend to see Allah, or important spirits from the quaran.

  When Hindus have near death experiences they tend to see Krishna or symbolic images from their religion.

  If everyone all had the same near death experience regardless of their beliefs or religion beforehand, I might be slightly inclined to take the drug blurred ramblings of a dying brain a tiny bit more seriously.
