  The Riddle of The Faithful and Discreet Slave new understanding ... SOLVED [?]

  so, i have been pondering things in my head about the new understanding of the faithful and discreet slave ... and i believe i have it figured out.. of course this is just speculation ... hear me out.. from the annual meeting ... the individual members of the governing body are not the faithful and discreet slave.

  they only act as the faithful and discreet slave when they are working as a collective body in making decisions regarding the dispensing of spiritual food.. in another thread, somebody asked whether or not the new member of the governing body was announced at the annual meeting ... i am assuming that it was not.

  yet, it seems to be offered by reliable sources that there is indeed a new member named sanderson.think back to the court case brought against "the organization" in australia by unthank ... the attorneys for watch tower said that "the faithful and discreet slave" is a "theological arrangement".leolia suggested that they can drop the term governing body and just say faithful and discreet slave.what does this all mean?.

  (luke 10:1-7) 10 after these things the lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come.

  hi all

  i am so confused!

  i read that Jesus is preaching about the kingdom of God--> what did he mena? what was the kingdom to Jesus?

  also Paul was preaching the good news of the kingdom and also he was declaring the good news of Jesus' resurrection and triumph over death. what did the kingdom mean to Paul?

  i mean was there any point in Paul and Jesus preaching about a kingdom that was not going to be estabklished for antoher nealry 1900 years?

Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest. 3 Go forth. Look! I am sending YOU forth as lambs in among wolves. 4 Do not carry a purse, nor a food pouch, nor sandals, and do not embrace anybody in greeting along the road. 5 Wherever YOU enter into a house say first, ‘May this house have peace.’ 6 And if a friend of peace is there, YOUR peace will rest upon him. But if there is not, it will turn back to YOU. 7 So stay in that house, eating and drinking the things they provide, for the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not be transferring from house to house.

  does anyone recall ever hearing an explanation on this? and how the preaching work seems to be contradicting it?

  "This Good News of the Kingdom" is NOT Jesus' Gospel

  the wts and dubs like to brag that, unlike all other religions, they are the only people preaching the truth about "this good news of the kingdom" on earth.

  they claim that their most important purpose in life and as dubs is to preach that good news.. .

  they use their favorite verses in matthew 24:14 and revelation 21:3,4 to describe what that "good news of the kingdom" means.

  i have been thinking about the " need" for an organisation for xians... i mean the ee went on his merry way back to candace in ethiopia, a long way from the governing body of jerusalem and the effect of paul's letters so he must have done his worhsipping from a distance and without the "benefit" of the governing body's sage advice..... .

  also another thing if i were on the "gb" of the first century i would be extremely miffed that paul was the one being inspired to write the fundamental doctrines of christianity, not me or my fellow older men.

  today i began reading don camron's captive of a concept!

  SAD news about OOMPA......

  our friend, oompa, has passed away.

  just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

  it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.
