Tetra, that was a lovely story, thanks for sharing. I hope your love and reasonableness win your wife over to days of scotch, dancing with the dog & napping!

GBL, What was that?!
i just got back home from dropping my wife off at the convention this morning.
i took the day off of work so i could celebrate the occasion of freedom from mass-delusional-cult-think-programming.
out on the porch, sun shinning, birds chirping, scotch in one hand, demon haunted world in the other.. as i was driving my wife to the convention grounds, she thanked me for all the help i had provided her in getting ready for the convention, and for driving her.

...in so many ways, some known to us, others remaining unknown and unrecognised, sometimes for years, sometimes forever.. so, my question is: would you rather know of the ways in which your presence effects others or would you prefer such things not be drawn to your attention?
recognition or anonymity?.
Hmmm, this is not something I worry much about in real life, but on this board I do sometimes worry how I am being perceived, especially when nobody replies to a post I've made! I feel invisible ...
JUST LOVE ME!!!
i hate to say this, as there may be some here that fit this description, but people deep into jesus with all that saved talk and accepting jesus talk, look the same as the person trying to get me to take a hit on the bong.
these people seem stoned hard core and in la-la land of some fantasy and wonder why others don't want to ride the crazy train with them.
personally, i find these people to be almost alien to me, in that they seem so into their religion of "save" and "accept" this, that there is no reasoning or even discussing a different subject with them.
I agree, Jesus freaks suck. So do other fundamentalists - & much as I love Marx, I am including all my uni lecturers who are Marxists in this one!!! It's almost like some people just have to believe in SOMETHING, ANYTHING that gives the world some meaning or 'ultimate truth'. Go smoke a bong, I say!

mr tortoise is walking down the street when he is mugged by a gang of snails.. the police interview mr tortoise after the attack and ask him if he could describe his assailants.. "im afraid not" said mr tortoise, "it all happened so fast............".
its old and silly, but it still makes me laugh....
God, I wish I could remember jokes!
'Garlic Bread?' 'Gaaaaarlic Bread?' 'Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarlic Bread?'
Well, it cracks my 2yo up!
why oh why has american tv made its own version of this brilliant british series?!
it's like cracker all over again!
can't americans understand the accent?
I don't know whether it has been cancelled, but it is showing in Australia this week! Yes, that's right, we get US ripoffs of Brit shows on commercial tv, after our public broadcaster has shown all of the original series that most people missed!!!
A US version of Fawlty Towers?!! How can you improve on perfection? How can you even try to imitate perfection?!!
the first time i can vividly recall feeling jealous was when i was 7.. my dad came home from visiting a client with gifts for me and my sisters.
my younger sisters got a beaufiful handmade doll dressed in pink lace called betty and a handmade cotton cot.
i got the 1982 yearbook of jws.
Crumpet, I think you handled it well. Go girl!

Hi Crumpet, (((hugs))) for you
EF's zen-like calm will help for a broader approach re jealousy in general, but I also agree with Katie that you've got to get this specific problem under control - the clothes/car thing is
ODD
definitely mentally and more than likely physically.. i have read on a few posts and freeminds about an increase of mental illness amoungst jws of between 2 and 40 % and it seems understandable considering the amount of stress being in the borg puts on people.. but what about physically?.
what are your experiences since leaving the borg?.
do you feel well and fitter than ever before?.
Gill, I love your expression 'are you poorly?' My family is from England & they say that, too. Just gorgeous!
Umm, I don't really have anything else to add ...
just wanted to tell everyone how much i love this forum but never had balls to join in.
now that i'm officially dfd i can do whatever i like.
how about that?
Hi Zagor, welcome to a fellow Aussie! It's great that you're posting. Look forward to learning more about you!
