How do I thank you?

hi everyone, my goodness....i dont know how to thank all of you!

your posts touched me so deeply; i dont know how to thank you all or how to tell you how much your kindness and love have meant today.. i know we all have so many of our own problems and issues to deal with; i feel kind of foolish for.....god, i dont know what?

for feeling so lost, so utterly impotent to change all that is going on, both inside my head as well as in my family, that i would be weak enough to want to give up and give in.

Wow, what a strong lady you are. Through all your problems your qualities of strength, kindness and a sense of humor show through. I just hope whatever it is that you are dealing with in your life, that you can eventually put in its place and let it go!

Please feel free to e-mail me if you need a hearing ear. That’s about all I can do lately is listen, because I sure don’t have the answers anymore. But it is amazing how sharing our experiences in life helps put them in their proper perspective and lets us heal.

Hoping for brighter days in you and your family’s lives.

i've been lurking here for some time now.

i'm not a jw, never been a jw, and don't plan on becoming a jw...however my life has been effected by the jw's whether i like it or not (dad's death/mom's conversion).

seems most here are exjw's or jws...so i'm not too sure if i'm welcome or not?

Look how far we have come!

i just wanted to share with everyone who knows my hubby (jst2laws) & my situation just how far we have come since last spring.

it was at that time that we started fading, he by stepping down as an elder and together trying to become inactive without much fanfare.

well last night hubby thought he might want to have some fun over at a jw site and tried to get on that site when he realized, and then said to me, that he doesnt know the answers to the questions they were asking.

mine is the story of a lady who was witnessing alone in an apartment building, and aparently she knocked on the door of some rapists/murderers/drug dealers......whatever......she was "saved" by two angels, only visible to the attackers, that accompanied her on that visit.

or how about the one where a householder had his finger on the trigger of a gun and was just about to pull it when.....all of a sudden....out of nowhere (drumroll please) a witness knocked on his door and offered him "the promise of everlasting life in the new system of thingstm"!!

DR. I remember that one printed in a yearbook with the history of Germany. Good point, that the machine was worth more than peoples lives!

How about the redneck who killed the pioneer on his front porch. Now he gets 200 hours a month in. The first 100 hours for the pioneer he killed and the second for himself, now that he's a jw!. (back when pioneers got 100 hours/month)

Kep, lol "church" was a derogatory word. But we love using it now!!

Maybe some day when we have total freedom we will reveal our story.

Yes the mental freedom is great. I don't know how we lasted so long to begin with. *banging head on the computer* We are just looking forward to our lives everyday with this new freedom.

To get on that board you have to know the current offer, the theme for this summer’s convention, you know, little stuff like that and we busted out laughing saying….LOOK HOW FAR WE HAVE COME!
We are enjoying our freedom but we still have some friends that we are helping out and it is worth the agony to go once in awhile to the meetings. But it sure is WONDERFUL to see ourselves deprogramming and loving every minute of it.
ps, you know me, can't spell right the first time ;)

my future brother in law (futurebro) is a great guy, as ive mentioned.

he really cares about people, doesnt want to hurt anyones feelings.

yet, now he was trapped between doing the right thing, and possibly losing his parents.

I am so proud of you. You said,

I have a 23 year old son who is married. He is stuggling to educate his wife about the dubs. (she's a real dead brain drone) I just wish he could be a successful as you have been. You and your wife have got a lot going for you at an early age. I wish all the best for you in your future and your families.

Thank you for sharing you experience. It gives others hope and strength to stand up for what is right, no matter what your age.
