My wife is still in. Holding on as hard as she can. It sucks. No progress. She doesn't trust me and is suspicious. I first tried to share with her TTATT, but this did not go well at all. Since I have been more successful reaching my kids to different degrees, she views me as an enemy in some ways. How long can a marriage last like that?

Roll call of those of us stuck in for our spouse or whos spouse is still in!
by BU2B ini just wanted to get a feel for how many here have awakened to ttatt but are still carrying on some jw activities to pacify them and keep the peace.
also trying to hear from those who have left, but whose spouse has stayed in the wt and in the marriage.. for me it comes down to my own mental anguish.
i am mentally tortured by attending the meetings, yet i feel compelled to because my wife would kill me with her personality if i had her drag 2 small girls by herself there.

BBC Radio 4 reference to 607 Babylonian conquest?
by 88JM inwas listening to bbc radio 4 late sunday night, and in a programme about migration, they referenced the "babylonian conquest of jerusalem in 607 b.c.
" which caught my attention.. did they not mean 587 b.c., or did i understand it wrong?.
the link to the programme is below - sorry if you're not in the u.k. as you probably won't be able to listen to bbc programmes.

I can't count how many times I watched that with my kids years ago, it sure takes on a whole new meaning now. Funny how you don't see it when you are indoctrinated though.

also point # 21 ... targeting the seniors in nursing homes
21. Nursing and retirement homes: Some publishers have had success in reaching elderly
persons by approaching the manager or activities director of the facility and volunteering their
time to encourage residents who might enjoy Bible reading and discussion of Bible accounts. It may
be explained that volunteers from the congregation would be pleased to read Bible-based material,
to conduct a free weekly Bible study, or to show Bible-based videos to anyone who wishes to attend.
Oftentimes, the staff, volunteers, family members of patients, and other visitors will join in the study.
The service overseer may train well-qualified publishers to make such visits.—km 6/14 pp. 2-4. -

Thanks for the download.
I especially found point # 4 very interesting ...
Any application to use a mobile cart or to set up a table or kiosk to display literature must be filled out in the
name of an individual publisher, not in the name of the congregation, any corporation used by the
organization, or “Jehovah’s Witnesses.” If a small administrative fee is needed in order to acquire
space in a public area, it is to be paid by the individual publisher, not the congregation. Publishers
should carefully review any such applications to see what responsibility they are taking upon themselves
with respect to liability. Publishers who apply to distribute literature at these areas are doing so on their
own initiative as part of their personal ministry.organization absolves itself of all liability putting this burden as well as any possible expenses on the publisher, yet, everything else in the letter clearly shows how this avenue of ministry is managed in every other way by the organization
