i can't stand when people don't use their turn signals and then jump in front of you and make you slam on your brakes.
i try to refrain from road rage but i do cuss under my breath.

I had to smile when I read that. Where did that come from anyway? I don't remember that as a kid, but I hear it all the time now.

I hate confrontations, so I generally keep my opinions to myself. I find by being this way, more people are willing to share their opinions with me, and I can learn something from them.
On this forum, I hold back, I don't want to be flamed, sometimes my opinion has already been expressed by someone else, or the thread has taken a turn that I wasn't expecting, so I hold back.

most of you know that i have moved back to my old house, and in the process, had lots of boxes to go thru.
i have found so many treasured moments of my life, things like my kids, my family, etc.. for just a couple of hours lately i have been putting alot of my pictures when i was young on my personal file, just because they are the only copies i have of them.. i heard it once said that when you have pain in your past , your childhood, that you should look at that picture of the 8 or 9 year old you once were and enbrace her,, or him.
i have done that, and i can tell you it opens the door to so much healing, so much compassion for yourself, something that you as an adult really need to move on.

to be honest, i feel like i barely qualify as an ex-dub.
wasn't raised in it, no relatives in it, and aside from my first one or two years of being involved with it, i didn't believe much of it.
but at the point where i first started having doubts creep in, instead of investigating those doubts, i turned off my brain.

I feel the same way, I never fit in as a JW (even though I was raised in 'it') and I never fit in as a "worldly". When I found this board I did what I do with everything in my life. I slip in and start hanging out, in the background, so later if it starts not working any longer for me, I can just as easily as I snuck in the back door, I can slip out un-noticed. I just keep wearing the mask, and no one will notice that I don't have it together.

I think I need scale back the amount of time I spend here waayyy back, and unless I make some sort of announcement to that effect like the one I'm making now, I'll find myself spending hours here that I could be spending on more beneficial things like watching South Park..
or you could get out and meet people that you have things other than JWism in common with you. But don't abandon us. Everytime someone says that they are leaving, I feel this sick feeling deep inside my stomache.
Having met you in person, I never thought...
people find me to be odd, hostile, immature, paranoid, hyper, and they are probably right.

as i was participating in my daily duties of domestic slavery i got to ruminating about my mom, sister and brother who are shunning me (even though i am neither df'd of da'd).
i got to thinking to myself that i don't really miss them all that much.
in fact; i almost feel that i have lost the abundance of love that i once felt for them...well, except for my brother who i have never gotten along with anyway.
I do love my family, but I don't miss them that much.....
What I do miss, is the kind of relationship we could/should be having.

i think one major point that proves that the jw's are a cult is that you can't leave without being stigmatized.
all you have to do for other religions is take your name of the membership log or just resign.
for jw's you can't leave unless you're df'd or da'd.

some here may have noticed that recently teejay and i got into it a little bit on a thread i started about the locking of threads.
about two years ago teejay and i got into it a few times in other threads.
as much as i thought teejay was an intelligent guy and i have always gotten a kick out of his sarcastic sense of humor i still thought he loved to stir things up and take a few unnecessary jabs at people simply for the sake of jabbing them and causing trouble.. teejay called me tonight.
