Jehovah's people are the happiest people on earth!
by Coded Logic inso this afternoon my roommate and i decided to go grab some dinner from the local chipotle and, as we live only a short distance from the franchise, we decided it was a good idea to walk.
little did i know that the j-dubs district convention here in sacramento was just getting out (the auditorium is literally smack in the middle of downtown and its attendees have to park in garages scattered a couple blocks away in every direction) so men in cheap suits and women in unflattering dress' were walking all over the place as though someone had antagonized their ungodly ant hill.
and, for sacramento, this of course is the complete opposite of the normative - that is to say, our streets are usually filled with well dressed, immaculately groomed, 'i know exactly where i'm going' government officials that monopolize the state capitol m-f. .

How come that witnesses are described this way: men in cheap suits and women in unflattering dress whereas in Scandinavia the witnesses are described as being modern, yet modest but never in the way stated above... Do American witnesses have poor taste compared to their Scandinavian counterparts?
Many in the younger crowd are quite fashion aware, they know how to dress and spend a lot of money on nice clothes... I don't know what the norm is over there in America but here most of the younger brothers have matching tie and handkerchief sets etc..
Tony probably has to come over here and go on a tight pants rant

my parents were asking me why i was so upset lately and i ended up just telling them the whole truth.
i told them i don't believe in god or the bible because i don't have any evidence of anything.

I don't think everyone here understood that you are not baptized. Since your not, your parents will probably not do anything to drastic just because you have doubts. They will just try to convince you that their religion is right.
If they involve the elders, they cant really do anything since you have no "contract" with the organisation.. But, depending on what you tell them they might mark you as bad association and that can be very lonely for you, so be careful.
Jehovah's witnesses believes in religious freedom until your baptized. So you can discuss things with your parents but make sure that you are taking a questioning approach; I don't understand this, how can that be the case? etc. And don't refer to "Apostate sites" on the internet, they will think that you have been poisoned by apostate thinking and that can damage your relationship with them.
Also, when it comes to what to believe, Only you can figure that out. A lot of people here don't believe in God and they will argue for that position.
You will have to study this topic on your own to come up with your own conclusions. Before, you have had other people tell you what to believe, don't make that mistake again. Research what to believe yourself, don't take anyone else's word for it.

Geoffrey Jackson's Golden Apple watch INVESTIGATED
by C0ntr013r ini went through the original footage to get a good look at the watch.. from these pictures we can probably say that it is a apple watch and that it has a golden color.
the color on the pin is black, and the band is white, grey, silvery or beige.. .
the pin is in the exact place for it to be a apple watch.. only apple watch edition have the gold color.

I actually don't think that's an Apple Watch. I have one and my wife has one. There's a few weird things. The watch face is too big. It's also not sitting on his wrist the way the watch usually does. Even the band doesn't look right.
I don't know...
There are different sizes, do you have the big one?
Which band do you have? Because you can choose what band you want, not sure which one it is though.

I have to admit that I thought this thread was a little silly and "over the top picky"...
It was just meant to establish what kind of watch it was, and I guess if the GB wants to buy these kinds of things that is up to them.

Jackson is one of the smarter GB members... If I where him, I would buy a silvery Apple watch a use that on his next JW broadcast appearance.
Hopefully he is not lurking here and getting ideas

If you need to home school yourself but find it hard I would recommend khan academy:
This will give a really good education, the teachers and the exercises are extremely good and the site provides all of it free of charge!
Good luck! ;)

Don't tell your parents that you don't believe in God etc. If you really need to talk to them about it, tell them that you have doubts and that you are not sure what to believe. If you make such a drastic declaration you will come across as an "Apostate"...
I have talked to my relatives about TTATT for some years now and the "Apostate alarm" still goes of if I suggest that God doesn't exist...
So be gentle with them ;)
