  With regard to ugly women not being able to find partners: I guess that is why in bible times the woman was veiled. The father wanted his ugly daughter married off - so the guy didn't see her till after the ceremony.

  i made another propaganda-esque video for the vast apostate army's first mission which is to attend the memorial.

  since alot of people liked my last video for the vast apostate army i figured i'd post this one too.

  People are too stupid to give a kid a 'tap' on the behind that doesn't hurt at all, and that is what a spanking is.

  What????

  If a so called "spanking" or what you call a 'tap' on the behind doesn't hurt the child at all then what exactly is the point of a "spanking"? Why would a parent want to give his little child a 'tap' on the behind that doesn't hurt at all, unless he's a psycho that somehow gets off on giving children little unpainful 'taps' on their buttocks?

  I shudder at the psychological retardation of some members of this forum. I shudder again, and fear for the children entrusted to your care.

  i just would like to open a little debate here on retirement and jws.

  my mother, who is the breadwinner of the family, (dad's quite pathetic) is socking away money like mad for retirement.

  i can't blame her, since i know she'll need it, but she's convinced that the end is so near.

  It is typically used by parental child abusers and only serves to perpetuate the cycle of child abuse, from generation to generation. "It didn't harm me.... see, I'm okay now'.

  I agree with all comments on this thread about the peer pressure aspect at the Hall or the book study or at home, beating children to "impress" other JW parents. I've been out for a while now, so I'd be interested to know whether this culture still exists amongst Jehovah's Witnesses? I certainly grew up amongst a wicked coven of Wooden Spoon Mothers and an evil gang of Leather Belt Fathers.

  I also detest the word "spanking", an attempt to make beating a child sound somehow mild and harmless. So where is the line between using a hand or implement to hurt and leave red imprints on a little girl's buttocks and using a fist to draw blood from her eye or crack her little skull? Seriously, where exactly is that line?

  I don't get the point. Attend the Memorial..... why exactly?

  I wouldn't be seen dead in a Kingdom Hall. Literally. Although I'm young (ish) and not DF'ed or DA'ed, I've already given my parents explicit instructions that if I die I may not have a Hall funeral under any circumstances. I'm thinking about putting it in writing and distributing copies to friends too.

  So why would I want to go to a Memorial??
