Apostate Brainstorming Session

i have been meaning to bring this up for a long time.. sometimes, i think we (former jw's) who are very rightly concerned about all the lies of the governing body have some great ideas about how to expose jehovah's witnesses.. some of us have very passionate and distinct ideas.

not a few of us have websites with our own personalities evident.. i don't wish this to get personal.

even if i disagree with some presentations or rhetoric of some, i know that it is sincere.

1.- JW are not allowed to read the internet or any book that comes from outside sources

2.- Even if that changed any information that attacks the WT is automatically dismissed

3.- They can not think by themselves.

4.- They will follow everything the GB says because that comes from God.

Those are facts. In order for a good standing JW to have doubts and start looking for information we need to break at least one of the above mentioned items. So now lets reverse engineer it

1. Present information in places where JW can read it. Mass Media, News Papers, Schools boards, libraries, or any other place where JW go and tha they can feel ok reading.

2.- Information must not attack the WT rather has to be presented in apositive way. Allowing the reader to discredit the WT himself.

3.- Instead of presenting facts where the reader reasons the information must force the reader to question himself. Questioning leads to thinking.

4.- Enuf information must be presented discrediting the GB. Maybe Scandals, Out of court settlements. Bad desicions of the WT. Things that question the holliness of the GB.

Maybe I am missing more points but thats what Ive discovered by trial and error. I have helped 3 of my family members out plus my two kids but ive failed with at least 6 :-( but I didnt know by then.

We care for animals yet we eat them. We care as long as our care for them is not bigger than our care for ourselves. Besides God never said he cared for us. Some fantasy books written in weird old languages by weird looking people, many many years ago said it. So why do we even consider that?

Why do we even consider if he cares for us when he never said he did? and who is God Anyway? who created that word? Why dont we talk about the What really is the Matrix and if the Matrix cares for us... I actually think that is a better story, is more recent, has more details and way more complex, although the guys who wrote it are weird looking also :-)

Better yet, with all the knowledge we have now why dont we create a new Holly book. We create characters we put prophesy and even create history of the world with all the knowledge with have about the earth, the dinosaurs, the cave paintings, the real history of the israelites, we could include the mayans, the egyptians, the exploring of the earth moon and mars. We have real facts so in 2000 years when the people read this book will believe everything. And lets call our God Mickey Mouse, and then maybe they will be Mickey Mouse's witnesses and a forum for Ex-MMW asking if he really cared for us why Disneyland never cover the whole earth and only a few miles in Anaheim, orldando, Paris and Tokyo?

while many jehovah's witnesses have been treated badly by the watchtower organization, many have had good experiences during their time as witnesses.

for several years starting in the 70s, the brooklyn home had a kind of "talent night," in this case it included an interview.

you think these are "grumbling apostates" who never enjoyed their time in the organization, watch and find out.. dan bell, a bethelite, told barb that "no one ever gets to see these "family nights" outside of bethel and gave barb a copy of this one on a vhs tape as a personal gift for them to share with others.

Once a year the Bethel has this "Entertainment Show" where members of the family perform, sing, re-enact and in gerneral perform a show. I was able to help in a couple of these events as a volunteer, (that was like a privilege from heaven). Anyway.

As a JW I enjoyed my time inside the WT because I thought it was Gods will, therefore I enjoyed 100% even the bad things because I was trained to see the bad things as "tests" of my faith. So even the doubts, the trials and the bad elders were seeing as good. Now that I am out I am displeased with the fact that I wasted my life living in the trash can. Although I leaned quite good tools of survival in that trash can and my body is half attrophied by the experience.

I consider this video sooo valuable and I hope we can put more positive videos together for one reason only. They bring credibility to the "survivors" and their experiences.

My Father who asked not to talk to him about spiritual matters agree to watch this video, why? because it was filmed inside bethel by bethelites in good standing. I wish I had 10 more so that will bring credibility to the channell presenting them. I of course can not present him videos that talk against the WT only pro-WT but the important thing is that he is watching youtube and using the internet and maybe, I hope that "maybe" one day his curiosity will bring him to click on the "forebidden" links around those invaluable videos.

haha a CO whom I know came to see me to tell me to hurry back up that they needed many elders back in mexico. They must be desperate to talk to Dfd guys like me :-)

2) maybe i am just more tuned into it now, but they mentioned "apostate" a lot more this time around, espicially when talking about the internet.. it keeps me thinking, if there is nothing to hide, then why is there such a big push not to look?

it's like an ugly girlfriend not wanting her boyfriend to look at the girls on the beach .

IA: I love to hear an elder talking :-) Its like they have all the answers pre-written on book and they just look for the number. pretty much like the computer codes in my car. Thats the answer to all my troubles

having read ray franz's " crisis of conscience " 3 years ago -before i read steve hassan's 2 books on mind control - my wife and i thought it would be good to re-read ray's " crisis " book again now that we know more about the workings of " cult mind control".

we just finished chapter 2 and i noticed striking similarities i thought i would share.. notice this quote in " crisis of conscience " on pg.

28 & 29 by franz , " thus numerous factors that are relatively common knowledge in many religious organizations are known only vaguely , if at all, by the vast majority of jehovah's witnesses.

We were all brainwashed even the GB is brainwashed. We are not brainwashed by a person or a group, not even the GB or FDS nor the WT. we are brainwashed by a concept. All of them are lost. And the few who find out about it take the red pill and exit. Like most of us here. JW dont see bad in their religion cuz they cant. They are blocked from thinking.

Where does he claim that? back it up, etc etc etc. doesnt do here. it does in the WT here we want facts. you are entitled to you thoughts but be carefull presenting them as facts. He is not a JW he is not in the GB nor the FDS anymore that is a fact.

Personally, I think the man has an agenda now, which is to deflect his share of the guilt from himself.

This is your personal opinion and thats fine. Have you read his books? Watched his interviews? how can someone deflect his share of guilt? Guilt comes from within. you can not deflect something that comes from inside. You mean reduce his guilt? Whats the problem with that? Are you a JW? or an exJW? Dont you feel guilt of preaching lies to people? to bugging them on their house to bring a dangerous message? guilt of shunning people and treating them like criminals? I feel guilt. I wanna help now other people out. whats wrong with that?

How do you know that you can put faith in what this man says, since the Governing Body has knowingly told lie after lie after lie for decades, and Franz went along with it?

Once again. They are ALL brainwashed. they lie and the dont even know they do. They think thats Godly devotion. They are captives of a concept. We all went along with them. We all told lies to other people and we didnt knew that.

I don't trust him.

Why do you trust us? why do you trust this website? were you a JW? can you even trust yourself then?

HELP I need some ex-elders help for a phone conversation with my JW parents

ok this is the deal: i was dfd 14 years ago, i was just planning to go back last year.

i had planned to come back with a clean conscience so i started to study and research the wt to prove to myself this was the truth, the elders had met with me to suggest me to submit a letter of reinstatement, in the same meeting i told them i had some questions that i needed help with before i was to go back.

they said they were gonna answer those questions after i was reinstated :-d so i went by myself and started doing my research.

Wow I feel so empowered really, my parents decided to go and stay with my grandparents (apparently the spirit wasnt flowing here) so I went to visit them twice this weekend.

I mainly spoke to my mom. She kept asking me to stop reading and researching :-) she says that when she watches history channel and they say the red sea didnt really part she changes the channel, there is no point to hear something that goes against the WT (yeah wow) She askd me to go to the meetings again and just wait... She also asked if I was influencing other people apparently in my family they are saying that I spoke to people in bethel and that someone was DFd by my influence, that I am forming a new religion that the mormons opened my eyes, etc etc... just a bunch of lies.. I asked her what did she do.. Did you defended the truth? - I asked her. She said she didnt know if that was true. I told her she can just ask me. I told her that she knew i was just searching for answers to my questions thats all, I asked her why didnt she defended the truth.....no answer.

Then I told her that if she would've preferred that I would've lied to her and fake that I was still a JW....she paused. she changed the topic I asked her again, we did it at least three times until she finnally answered. my question was --- Do you rather learned the truth or should I just lie to you.... she couldnt answer

Dad decided that they are going to return to mexico earlier. Poor family.

Anyway tomorrow I will have a final meeting with them.

Day 3 - Everything its written here regarding what their attitudes will be has come true. I never saw my parents in this light before. They look like robots. They hear nothing worst than talking to a wall. They are starting to feel fearfull of me. However I have not even critized the WT yet... The only thing I have stated is that I have been searching for the facts.... and that freaks them out. sometimes I ask them questions and they ask me to repeat it again twice since the first time they were in limbo.

I have accused over and over by many non jws of being judgemental and I always denied. Until recently when I started to study the Cult and realized they are judgemental and now I analize my thoughts, now I understand that I had the same training and use to make judgements on people really easy... I see my parents now and feel bad for them.

I was able to mention today at least to my dad that the Instruction was that elders didnt need to be removed if the sin was in the past. he inmediatly closed the window and said he needed to do something else. he said he is gonna check his book....bingo (first doubt) he said he will write to the society about this issue if thats the case.... yes they will reprimend him inmediatlely

DOUBTS is a marked word. write that down. I told my mom that JWs are pre-programmed to jump when they hear that word..I showed her that if I say that word their brain inmediately switchs modes. She saw it. I told her that word is good. It really means "you have a question" it means you want to know cuz you dont really know... a question is good cuz it starts the thought process and comes from the desire to learn... She is starting to realize that they are automatically acussing me of being influenced by other people.

At least they are talking to me more about it.
