i have to, cause instead of working on his career when he was younger, he decided to pioneer- that is something that now i have to pay the price for which really sucks.. i feel that since i pay the bills, it's his job to cook and do all of the cleaning.

you need to sit down and outline responsibilities - take the bull by the horns. The kids come first - and they are in a better position when raised by a parent than by day care, so having him home is not a bad thing - but it might not be the best for him psychologically. It sounds like he is just abdicating all responsibility and acting like he's one of your kids - a teenage one. He needs to man up and be more than a good baby-sitter. He needs to do the housework, learn to cook, work around the house and even get a part-time job, just to get out of the house and keep a handle on reality. Do not become an enabler.

i heard from a reliable source that they have garnered over $100 billion in sales, and the money will be spent in building a "city" in New York State.....it seems that Patterson is not the place - this is supposedly somewhere else out there......kinda like a little Vatican for the governing papacy? They say it will be like a little island in the US, but not part of it........I am really wondering about this new city....will it have houses and people? or just big dormitory like structures to house the free slave labor????

So the Governing Body alone is now the Faithful and Discreet Slave?

i'm just catching up on the latest buzz here and it appears that there is a lot of buzz on the 'new light' coming from the watchtower concerning the governing body and the faithful and discreet slave.

if true, i can really use this to trick my wife and in-laws (who are coming in this weekend) to contradict the new light.. at first i was going to say that this can answer moshe's question regarding who really is the fds but i understand that the change simply means when the body meets on doctrinal matters is when they are collectively the fds.

is that correct?.

i imagine the gov body pontificals will be bumped up to 24 members to reflect the 24 elders in the revelation.....and if they demote rutherford, there's going to be a name issue, in which case they may have to come up with a new name altogether.........the possibilities are really endless.....maybe they'll be the Rovers....from Daniel - in the end time many roved about and true meaning became obvious....sorry for the irreverence, but it really is a shame that it has morphed into such a mess.

i think it is very long.....but you make some fantastic points. i love your take on baptism as a minor and not contracting with an organization but with God and Christ - and that we are not "owned" by men. I find it very presumptuous of a group of men to think that they hold the eternal salvation or damnation of a fellowman in their hands when Jesus plainly stated that we are all brothers, and one is your leader, the Christ.

i didn't watch it because i really find these clips too gaggable....but from the comments i gather it is yet another proud pontifical moment bred from ignorance and lust for power. first - very true, the sad commentary of so many women who have lost out on love, life, men....and for what. but....i was always completely annoyed by the assumption that as soon as an attractive woman sets foot in a "worldy" setting, she is going to be harassed, victimized, and treated like nothing more than a sex object. if you send out vibes that you are a hottie after some action, you will get it. if however, you are proper and act professionally, you will gain respect and not be harassed except possibly by completely uncouth ignoramuses. and in that event, the law is on the woman's side. any decent business has sexual harassment standards and they have to be upheld - it is the LAW!

so...mr. herd has his little fantasy and assumes a lot of things that are irrelevant to reality. it is all about keeping the poor lowly rejects in line. enough bs.
