  first i made love to my wife, maybe i'm better in bed then i thought, because about an hour after that my wife comes back in and i'm sitting at my desk and i asked her, "when the elders df me are you going to leave me, spiritual endangerment and all" she said, no, i don't feel endangered and we talked awhile and i talked about da ing and not sure what to do, then i shared with her a toned down version of the da letter that i posted and that led to her asking about my beliefs and understandings of who the great crowd and 144k, heaven and earthly hopes.

  i was even able to tell her how they changed or distorted the meaning of the word naos to show the great crowd not in heaven.

  i was able to show her some of the scriptures from the da letter, able to tell her a little about 1914 and how jesus did'nt invisably come in a presence, showing her scriptures on that and some more ttatt.

  my jw (converts of about 5 years) came over on thursday and ate a turkey dinner with us.

  we didn't call it thanksgiving, but that was obviously what it was.

  they were proud to give me my own copy of the new revised and improved nwt bible.

  Thanks for sharing a great letter and strategy.

  Personally I believe those few that have the wherewithal and circumstances to stand up to them and call them out should do so.

  That having been said obviously every situation may have its own unique aspects.

  so the impending doom of the end is coming and i will not be df'd so they can tell others i sinned or something else.

  i will da, but not sure what to expect next and what they will say to my family and children.

  i have 5 kids one baptised and ofcourse a wife, so what should i prepare for??

  and yet I am unfamiliar with the "Good News" according to Paul, Moses, Isaiah and Psalms

  could it be because I have been deliberately and subtly led away from the "Good News"

  it's hard to just read as a guest, and not share with anyone eventually.

  Welcome offgrid5150.

  Our family of 4 was able to beat our addiction to the cult totally within 4 years by relentlessly pursuing the liberating, explicit and "unabridged gospel" message hidden in their own publications (most likely by Ray Franz and others like him).

  Many here will cite patience and simple thought provoking questions as the way to go with your loved ones.

  Dumping on them or telling them many facts is often the worst thing one can do.

  Going on an exploratory journey as a family is the best.

  As my wife says: "go the pace of the children".

  In this case the adults are also children.

  They have very limited capacity to explore the dark side of their idol and VISIBLE golden calf (in their lust driven state).

  One of the worst offenders put out by religion in my view is:

  faith = belief = religion

  A simple question may help to expose the fallacy:

  • Why is religion not one of the fruits of the spirit?
  • Why is belief not one of the fruits of the spirit?
  • Why does the Bible speak about "one faith"?
  • Why does the words "faithS" not exist in the Bible?

  had this conversion with my dad earlier today, hes an elder...both my parents were laid off during the recession, however, they saved and lived a decent life.
