my life is a mess need some advice

so if you read thru my previous posts from years ago u can see a little background of my life.

to do a quick summary i was df'd at 19, got into the party lifestyle which included party drugs and lots of alcohol.

at 24 i decided to step bacdk and really try to get my life in order.

Since quitting religion in favour of faith and spirituality based on the "unabridged gospel" I no longer feel compelled to judge or change gays, but rather to love them just like Jesus does - as they are.

Moralism is apostasy - just like legalism.

You need to get free of moralism and the guilt it induces.

A good counsellor or Psychologist, possibly who is gay, and maybe also a non-religious believer, could be a great help.

after serving in an appointed position for over 26 years (21 elder, 5 ms,14 pioneer), i have no more dreams of paradise, bored at the meetings, do not enjoy the field ministry.

the desire to do anything is gone.

Personally I have come to conclude that religion was designed to suck the life out of us.

I have found faith, spirituality and the liberating gospel message to be the exact opposite. It is as if the lights have been switched on in my head.

Interview with an Apostate: Simon

i had an idea for coming up with a standard(ish) set of interview questions which members of the ex-jw community could use to provide insights into their lives as a kind of series (yeah, i was thinking of "interview with a vampire", lol).. anyway, this is the result to show the sort of thing i'm thinking of (applied to myself) and i'd like feedback on the format and the questions as well as who you'd also like to see "interviewed".. feel free to provide your own life story as a separate topic or ask any additional questions that i've missed.

it's not meant to be rigid so questions / themes can be adapted as needed and split / joined as appropriate.

the common questions will hopefully apply to everyone for some consistency and to guide the writing process with additional questions asked that make sense to each subject.. well, here goes .... tell us a little about yourself and your family.. im an independent software developer who grew up in manchester (uk) but now lives in calgary (canada) with my wife angharad and two boys, liam and dylan.

In developed and developing countries, at least those I know of, the best building materials are used to build the best modern buildings and facilities to last many decades with free volunteer labour and generous donations.

The wealthy and educated are in a position to give more whilst believing they are giving to the "God of Abraham" whilst in-fact being duped by the "god of religion".

Is disagreeing with the GB rebelling against God?

the other day an elder mentioned that not following the gb direction is the same as rebelling against god.

this in harmony with the ominous tone set forth in the respect jehovah's authority video.

in this thread i'll point out several gaping holes in that argument as time allows.. 1. the gb/fds does not speak "mouth to mouth" with god as did moses.. jehovah condemned and punished mariam for speaking against moses.

Logically you cannot disagree with the GB without disagreeing with the god of the GB.

The god of the GB is our self-appointed step-father, the "god of religion", aka Satan the Devil.

He transforms himself into an angel of light, but when scrutinised and questioned is revealed to be an imposter, pretending to be the "God of Abraham".

It is no accident that those following the "god of religion" are led away from the "God of Abraham" and away from his liberating message, the explicit and unabridged gospel (or "Good News").

The elders came by and my DA letter

the lead elder co of my hall said he was going to push for a jc meeting.

i could tell all along all hes interested in is protecting his god the org.. so i'm 90% sure now of going on the offesive and first having a family meeting telling them i'm offically quitting and how its going to play out and how i'll will be shunned even though i have commited no sin.

i also may explain a little of why and how i came to this decision with out bashing the org to much out of respect for my wife.
