reading and hearing the arguments from both sides conjured thoughts about the tax exempt status of religions and the arguments associated with that issue.
a significant portion of the arguments related to that issue center around how a tax exempt organization benefits it's community.
provided the impetus for drug abusers / alcoholics to straighten out their lives...

i am 32, old enough to remember being told to refute the big bang as untrue by my parents and the religion they brought me up in.. it was a big decision for me even as a teen, i knew i was choosing a side, i remember my physics teacher laughing and mocking me and the other jw for denying the big bang.
our parents arranged that in our exams we were allowed to answer questions on the big bang in a unique manner:.
"scientists claim......... but as a jw i do not subscribe to this belief.".
Another reason WT doesn't like the Big Bang Theory is the scientist who came up with it:

i said to him "i wont be needing that" and gave it back to him, and he just said, well just throw it out then - no overreaction yay :o) without telling him, about a month ago, (i tore up my existing no blood directive.
our kids have never carried around "identity cards" we were never that diligent about it).
I've been wondering if its worthwhile carrying some sort of anti-blood directive card with me,
Perhaps a donor ID card from the blood bank?
