  Sisters conducting meetings where there is a lack of brothers

  i remember years ago when i was a little boy aroung 9 years old, our bookstudy conductor was in the hospital and at the last minute one of the elders asked my aunt to be the book study conductor.

  this was the first time i have seen this happen.

  my aunt did a very good job and the bookstudy acted as it was not something from outer space.

  It still amazes me, how some sisters, who are well educated and have a well respected job, are treated like people of second class in the kingdom hall, and they let it happen....

  paragraph 20 out of the article in the sept 2014 study wt about fulltime service says this.... .

  "full-time servants age, and so do their parents.

  when parents are witnesses, likely their fondest wish is for their children to stay in their assignments.

  wow, i just read it myself on jw.org, and I´m quite shocked,

  I thought, nothing can surprise me anymore in WT-land, but this certainly did, while I know, that some pioneers always expected the congo to help with their aged parents, at least you could argue with the biblical responsibility of children.

  What about Jesus counsel on the Pharisees who gave something to the temple instead of taking responsibiliy for parents ?

  10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’ [d] and, ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’ [e] 11 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God)— 12 then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother. 13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”

  unbelievable how the WT more and more openly distorts scriptures.....

  when...... 1) we follow christ example not the gb.

  2) stop df'ing those for challenging current or past doctrine and allow us to use our god given gift of reason and free wil.

  sure kick out the scumbags even the lions club have rules for membership, but not those who just use their brains and consience.. 3) get rid of the nonsensical blood teaching that has cost the lives of thousands and beg god for forgiveness.

  ok so this weeks book study says that jehovah does not protect individuals in a miraculous way..... but the yearbook gets filled with so called experiences of "faithful" ones blabbering on about "how god saved me etc".

  these ones are held up as examples of faith etc....... how do they justify the double standards?

  an elder used the local needs to read and sicuss this letter, the result was, eveyone was confused, even none of the elders understood really the letter,

  the whole thing became just nonsense.

  Should the brothers write down what they will donate per month all together? or only the money for the construction? Or should they write down what amount should be taken from a) the kingdom hall income or b) matth 24:14 box ?

  nobody really knew at the end, was kind of funny...

  However, how does this apply to children ? Or to certain sins, which are not mentioned neither in the bible , nor in the babtism questions?

  not now, and not so soon.

  everybody now is talking about WW1 on all its consequences on the years after, and how it changed the world. Witnesses just love it, since it confirms their predicted date of jesus reign, even though its soo opposite of what you would expect of jesus rulership...

  once 1914 will fade from collective memory, maybe approaching 100 years of WW2, then we will see.....

  very well written, accurate information, well researched.

  and it all boils down to one issue: the disfellowshipping.

  If JW ever abandon it, nobody would care anymore about some of their weird beliefs, as most religions have weird beliefs.

  However, as the article pointed out, they will not give up shunning, it is their very tool of control. Without it, they would just diminish.
