  a few weeks ago, these two jovies turned up on my doorstep.

  being in a good mood that particular day, i told them that if they could prove that god existed, i'd become a jovie - and i meant every word.. they gave me two documents which they asked me read and told me that they'd be back in a week.

  What should I ask Richard Dawkins tonight?

  my amazing wife surprised me and bought tickets for us to hear richard dawkins tonight!

  he is giving a lecture with someone and then they are having a q&a session.

  anyone have any suggestions for questions i could ask?

  an elderly sister passed away recently.

  family came to her memorial service from all over the country.

  some of them, including grown-up, disfellowshipped children of hers, also came.

  The cruelty of this cult is beyond belief. I have already decided I will not attend the funerals of any of my JW relatives, first of all I don't really want to attended an infomercial for this despicable cult and secondly I don't deserve to be shunned by a bunch of brainwashed zombies.

  Why would anyone want to join jovie world?

  i can understand why someone who was born of jovie parents would want to leave jovie world.

  i can see why someone who had joined jovie world would want to leave.

  after all, why would you want to stay in such an evil institution?.

  It amazes me how people are so easily offended by terms like Jovie world and religitard. The truth is we should all be offended by damage done by religious ideology and especially that inflicted by high control groups like JW's.

  i just had an invite to a district convention later this month in calgary (i guess they get to clean up the saddledome before the stampede, lol).. they gave me a leaflet asking "why did jesus come to earth?

  " so i asked them "so why did he come?".

  "well, he came to save us".

  i took a quick trip to the store and i happened to see a young man (about 26-28 years old) who got baptized about the same time i was leaving- about 2 years ago.

  a couple of pioneer sisters found him in the door to door work.

  one of them, a very attractive girl.
