i've been thinking: what with all the bunker videos at the rc, instilling fear and paranoia and excitement among the masses, what could the gb do as a follow-up?

how do they feed the flame?.

how about identifying the "king of the north"?.

Well I like it. It seems like a very smart thing to do, especially since Russia is going to be around in all foreseeable future.

The only thing I might imagine they could do differently would be to identify the king of the north as something more generic, "specific groups that currently oppress Jehovahs witness". That way the king of the north could be hinted to be Russia so powerfully every JW would believe it, but they would not be liable in the same manner officially (like, just make a video where it says: "the king of the north are those who oppress Jehovahs witness as an organized group" and show a shot of Nazis and (current) Russian military police. Everyone gets the hint). Also if Putin is thrown out tomorrow and Russia turns fully democratic (not super realistic but it might happen) a new "king of the north" bogyman (Islamic dictatorship, china if they suppress JWs, etc.) can be pulled out of the hat with little liability.

by reliable sources, bethel us has recorded in 3 years:.

- 80 "out of the closet" confirmed.

- 200 departures requested by bethelites, where same reason is suspected.. - 20 censured ones "returning to the flock".

Bethel downsizing is still coming

i spoke with a bethelite (non-us) last week who says that a 20-25% downsize is coming at their bethel in the fall of 2016. this is in addition to the cutbacks of 2015. more will be sent out 'to the field'..

Hello all, RC video convention times and duration

so i have no choice but to go to the cool-aid fest rc.

my question is this....do any of you know on what days the videos will show, for how long and which ones?.

my plan is leave my seat with my son's when the bunker video comes on and more videos that are stronger with the.

Counting together the baptism rates and attendance at the conventions would make a lot of sense for later reference. If they are still experiencing growth, there got to be conventions with a lot of baptisms right? I mean, isn't conventions one of the main times where witness get's baptized?

Man I hate this F'ing cult!

the nicest and kindest jw's seem to be the ones who are the least connected and active in the congregation.. i've been trying to fade and been missing quite a few meetings.. of course my wife still loyal as ever if not more so since i've awoken to ttatt.. every mid-week and sunday meeting i miss she gives me the silent treatment.. she's become more and more friendly with a regular pioneer younger than she is and wife of an elder, this to the letting go of regular contact with best friends in the 0rganization, whom she was closest to but were and aren't as active and regular at meetings and field service.. it's a crying shame, i'm closer and kinder to her old friends, keeping in touch through facebook posts now and then, encouraging them through the hardships, rejoicing with them during happy moments, graduations, welcoming a new child to the world, marriages, new jobs and what-not.. she has become a serious shunner, staying away from a lot of folks we were close to because they're not good association.. she's drunk the whole cup of kool-aid and anything i say that's remotely negative towards the 0rganization is met with stern retorts and accusations i'm apostate sounding.. and yet, she's still the kind hearted, loving person she used to be.

it's like she has a wt hat she dons and it changes her mind, her outlook, her behavior.

when dealing with neighbors, with people outside the kh, she's as nice as could be and i know this kind-heartedness is genuine--but it's been hi-jacked by this f'ing cult.

Yah, she sounds like she is in good contact with her Cult personality. Try to think about situations where she is not in Cult mode and remind her or get her into those situations. Like, can you ask neighbours over?

New commentary on revelation coming up?

i heard through the grapevine about a forthcoming book:.

together through the great tribulation - come to jehovah's mountain.

still awaiting solid confirmation though.

Even if the cover/diagrams are fishy, I think it would make a lot of sense to make a new revelation book which simply omitted a lot of the embarrassing stuff. The dropping of the types/antitypes a few months back could be seen as gearing up to a new take on the book of revelations where everything was not deemed significant and dumping down the message would just be continuing the trajectory they have taken the last few years.

I predict it will be a fairly slim book which only focus on what's most important from their perspective (Armageddon is coming really soon and it will be really bad). JWs can then decide for themselves if everything said previously is old light or if it is still current light; that way everyone wins.
