Their biggest problem is with their foundational belief that they are God's Chosen.
All their crap flows from this. You take away that belief and they are no more special than any other religous nutbag organization.
the organization has many problems.
certain doctrines are problematic.
the men who run the organizaion have issues.

born in 1769, william "strata" smith was the eldest of five children of a oxfordshire blacksmith.
he had only a basic education but became fascinated by local fossils when he began work on his uncle's farm.
his flair for geometry inspired him to learn surveying which led to his career.. by 1794 he was supervising the building of the somerset coal canal, and was travelling around the country to visit other canal sites.
The fossil record is an amazing accomplishment and once again, refutes religious, creationist claims particularly that the Earth is only 6,000 years old, or that humans are 6,000 years old or that humans lived amongst the dinosaurs.

i know this sounds like a ridiculous question but i was talking with my mom in the car today and of course we got on the topic of getting babtized again.
she told me that jehovah holds me accountable for my sins regardless of wether i am babtized or not so i have no reason to be holding back because it won't change anything.
my parents are the type of super strict jw who will shun you just for not being a witness.
I can second what Black Sheep says. I was in the same situation. I never got baptized so my parents weren't faced with shunning me for the DA or DF that would probably have occurred had I done the deed.
While my parents were often mean spirited to us kids as adults, I didn't let that stop us from having whatever relationship was able to be had despite this horrible religion.
Now, my Mom is dead, and my Dad is ailing with dementia. He told me a few years ago that he wanted my help and not the help of his 'spiritual family' because I was supportive. I nearly fell over! I have tried to live my life as an example of a 'worldly' person who is not evil like Botchtower claims. I never told my parents they were nuts for being JWs. In my country, they have the right to believe how they want. I did point out fallacies when they tried to convince me otherwise but I was always kind but firm. It appears to have worked.
okay, so at the "imitate their faith" ca there was a special speaker from the gb.
and he started discussing psalms 1:1 and how we today could "sit in the seat of scoffers".
he then mentioned that many bros. and sisters criticize the org and think they are so smart by researching online.
Evidently ( ) we are striking nerves. The Apostate Army is alive and kicking. Keep up the good work peeps!

If there wasn't something 'rotten in the state of Denmark', then people wouldn't be criticizing now would they.
the watchtower of december 2015 reports the following reaction of a family with four teenagers in the country of rwanda with the publication of the nwt, and how grateful they were for it.

not being familiar with either, my question is:.
what is the relationship between evolution and atheism?.
i'd love to hear from anyone and everyone, and also from any perspective.. without limiting the conversation in any way, i would of course also appreciate comments that are simple, clear, direct and correct (as i don't have the capacity to do a phd in evolution or atheism)..

My advice is.... Never get baptized. If you do, there will be a ton of expectations you'll then be badgered into doing. The browbeating isn't going to stop with baptism. As I've told you before, my Witness Mom used Jesus' example. He was well into adulthood before taking the plunge. She wouldn't let us get baptized before we were of age.
Put your life plan together and when you're done high school, skeedaddle on outta your parents house and get to College or Uni.
