Anything published outside of Botchtower is 'worldly' and demonized by the Borg unless it supports their agenda. If material contradicts the Borg, JWs despise it.
My father came to my house a few years ago (before he went into a nursing home). I had a copy of "Urban Farm" magazine on my table. He picked it up and looked at it with extreme suspicion. The Borg makes people fearful and paranoid.
Yeah... can't you just feel the evil emanating from this?

I have my parent's hard bound 1969 Awake volume where this 'fact' is documented. Botchtower's 'facts' are really just opinions... fantasy... bull shiite.
I am 51 years old. I was 5 years old when that 1969 Awake article was published.
The failures of this organization are rather embarrassing. If this were a financial institution, I wouldn't invest one cent into it with this track record.
It's a wonder they are legally able to continue pushing this drivel.

People will wear what they want to wear. Botchtower is too caught up in anything that might have a smidgeon of sexual connotation as being bad and therefore, an item to use to control. I, for one, am now intrigued by Spanx and yoga pants. I think I need to go shopping.
As for the term 'Brother Morris', I prefer 'Brudda Morris' as I have 2 real, biological brothers and neither of them are Tony the Turd.

When I was a teenage girl back in the '70s I was being told I had to subjugate myself to my husband when I got married. My reaction was "No Way!"
Patriarchy is a man-made social system from ancient times (Bronze Age) as an attempt to bring stability amongst warring tribes in the Middle East.
It has no valuable application in today's world and is actually detrimental. I watched, first hand, as my Mom sunk into depression and chronic illness because she could not be herself; because she was suppressed/oppressed/pushed down and to the background. Her individualism withered away and died.

many of us who for years struggled alone with doubts and cognitive dissonance thinking that we were the only ones, that we, as individuals were the issue, now know that there is a large community of individuals who see the organization as what it is, a mind controlling cult that is not only false, but also dangerous.. the governing body clearly understands the consequences of this awakening.
