He's obviously doing his own thing and it's hard to say how he views WTS. If he believes all or parts of their teachings. If he believes all doctrine he must feel that he will die at armareddon thus would make sense why he would want to go back now that he has a child and you. But that doesn't sound right. People can have many motives and many reasons why they do the things they do so really the only way for you to know what he thinks is to ask him and talk with him and if he's truely honest he'll tell you what's on his mind. Is this he's "wild" part of life where he can do whatever he wants to without getting DF and the plan is to get baptized down the road and follow the WT line? If so, what kind of husband will he be? Mixed marriages work just as much as anything else but they also end up in divorce just like other marriages. You won't find true advise from anyone because you're the only one that knows the guy and you are the only one that can decide if he's honest with you or not and what are his intentions as to religion. If he goes back he definetely will have to change! Either he will be two faced or you will see a major change in your relationship as he will start putting WT interests first in which case he would put pressure on having the child go to the meetings. Wish I could give you better advise but honest talk is the only key to your decision on your future with him.

found it on wikipedia in the reference section. Here's the link for anyone that wants it for future reference
http://www.jw-media.org/region/global/english/releases/beliefs_practices/071121.htm
Yes, it's white washed as usual but I needed the link to prove to a JW that it's not fiction that the official WT site actually acknowledges settling the suits as a JW totally denied there ever has been any lawsuits against WT and was calling me a lier for not posting and links proving my case :) I went to the WT media site and searched but couldn't find it as it's obvious they don't want it readily available.

"no solicitors" - when I was actually active in house to house some 12 years ago I was always told that we didn't solicid anything so there was no problem bothering these people. Basically one need a sign with being very specific for witnesses not to call otherwise they will twist anything into anything they want. Maybe a sign "Watch Tower members and all other solicitors are not welcome" Hey, maybe selling these signs at door to door would be profitable? Last solitation the householder gets for a small fee? hmmmm

by hamsterbait infor those of you who either didn't have time to read amazing's amazing threads on the child abuse issue:.

the watchtower attorney grilled me about my internet activity: they asked for my screen name on jwd (now jwn) ... yep ... they are watching ... and they watch other ex-jw sites ... i have more to say on this another time.

No surprise here. As decietful as WTS is, I don't doubt they have some posters try to push WTS agenda on forums like this one. Try to sneak in like wolves in sheeps clothing pretending to be somewhat bad, or misunderstood by WTS but yet still sopportive of the WTS doctrine and such. Reniaa alias reminds me of someone that would fit the profile of WTS scum. BTW I can't imagine these attorneys working for free for WTS! Watch the deal with them is what I would like to know.

SOM:
One doesn't need to be inprisoned by religion to seek out spirituality. As I see it, all religions have a leader on top telling the followers what to believe and that's no different with WTS. Many religions would like to control their people and some are more liberal than others and some just gave into the pressure of the world around them, WTS hasn't at this point. Problem with WTS and other high control groups is that they aren't perfect and by them denying people within their ranks freedom to hold free ideas from being labeled or being cust out they display cult like characteristics. In Christian faith it may be one thing to reject Jesus and thus be labeled anti-Christ or an apostate but it's totally another thing when someone rejects 1914 and similar nonsense made up by individual(s). That is cult mentality and no one should be subjected to that!
Now, God has not raised WTS for there is no proof of any sort that God has anything to do with them nor anyone else at this point in time. WTS speaking of everlasting life is a deception and a gimmick to get people in, whether they are self delusional as Ray Franz calls them victims of concept or more likely power hungry leaders who care for themselves more than anyone else. You unfortunately can't seem to distiguish what the bible says from what WTSs speaks when it comes to last days and return of Christ. You and many others have been in anticipation of the end occurring any day since 1874. When and if the last days do start as per Revelations you WILL know it and not because some WTS leader tells you so. However good it may be to have JW type friends, it's an illusion of friendship comparable to Satan being an angel of light. You can only be a friend if you belief the crap coming down from Brooklyn! It's a deception! Outwardly appearance of goodness with evil hidden within. Like poinson in a cool refreshing glass of water - who wants to drink of that?

I would recommend anyone studying with witnesses or about to study to read the old publications and research the dates initially taught by Charles Russell and why the dates changes. The initial question that should be asked is was Watch Tower organization used by God from the start to which all JWs will say "yes". So the ones studying are not totally under the WT control yet so they most likely will have an oppertunity to look at the history without being swayed to the view of the watchtower. If Russell had all these things wrong how could he have been led by God? If they still need more assurance that WT is a decietful religion go to Rutherford's actions.
1. When witnesses study with people they use books as an outline and strictly follow the outline in the publication thus the history is ignored. In fact most witnesses don't know their own accurate history! If one believes in God and thinks of oneself as a Christian there will be many good points that one learns from the publications on morality and some aspects of bible history.
2. If a teenager want to go to the meetings, it may be an interest in spiritual things as some people have that interest. They like what they hear even if some things they hear are a deception. They may like the idea that Christ returned in 1914 and to them obviously the end must be very near as world morality is not what it use to be and it's a nice picture to live in peradise where you dno't have to work hard or at least as many watchtowers say the people will only work at what they enjoy and everything will be provided and in a brotherhood of men who will only help each other. As this picture may be nice it's unrealistic, which doens't have any basis for from the bible and it's a deception to sucker one in. That may be one reason why a teenager wants to go to the meetings the other reasons maybe a boy/girl that the teen has a crush on.
3. If you care don't tell them they're nuts as this will be one of the things watch tower tells it's people to look out for as a sign of the devil trying to test them, persecute them. The more "persecution" one undergoes the stronger the devil wants that person to leave Jehovah. They will use Job as an example of being tested by the devil. As an outsider it's hard to reason with those studying without knowing the WT history as much of what JWs say makes sense to unsuspected spiritual inclined people.
The main problem is that once you're in, and make friends and/or have your family in, it's very hard to leave. You cannot reason for yourself and if you have doubts you are told to wait on God or it's just Satan at work trying to weaken your faith. When you're getting in, you're to leave your present friends behind as they're bad association, you're to make new friends who are "true friends" which are obviously only JWs. You get love bombarded every time you go to the meetings and will get invited to social gatherings and you're encouraged to make friends. If you're in (baptized) and start to question anything you will loose it all - friends, family and will have to be forced to start all over. Not too bad if one was a watch tower follower for a short period of time but many realize this deception after 10, 20 or more years where that's all they knew and all their friends were witnesses.
As for some people like Reniaa, you will notice their deception very much like the deception of the Watch Tower where they white wash over evil done by Watch Tower. These sorts of individuals may work for Watch Tower in fighting the anti-watch tower movement. Personally, like many others I feel sorry of many witnesses and have not much bad to say about individual followers but as for the organization and the leaders I have totally no use as it is a deceptive, power hungry religion much as Catholic Church was in the middle ages.

Upcoming Study with a Bethel Brother
by PSacramento inso, after a lengthy discussion with my mom on friday, she asked me ( again) to have a study with a bethel brother because the question i ask are too "above" her knowledge and she feels that only a well trained bethel brother can show me the "truth".. i voiced to her my issue:.
i love my mother, father and sister that are jw's and the last thing i want is to lose them, we had already drifted apart because of their new found faith ( my mom was first, about 8 years ago, then my older sister and just recently, last july 4th, my dad), i told her that if i have these study with a bethel brother i will, most likely, sya thing and state sources that may get me brnaded as an "apostate", i asked her, to be honest and truthful with me and to tell me that, if i get branded that and they are told, suggest to them, to stop dealing with me, would they?.
she said that no organization tells her who to deal with, even more so in regards to family.. i was not convinced, nevertheless i agreed and this wednesday will have my first study with him, first topic the mwt, my issue with certain translations ( such as romans 10:13, colossians and so forth) and the name "jehovha".. .

PS:
You should start with WT history not with God's name. Jehovah is an English translation and in other countries they don't use Jehovah but whatever the translation of the name in that country. Ask if WT was used by God from the start and was God's spirit operative upon it from the start? Then start with 1914. Why did Russell preach 1799 as last days and 1874 as Christ's return? Why did he preach 1878 as Christ taking power. If Russell was wrong about 1874 because KJ bible translation put them off by 100 years why then wasn't Christ's return in 1974 but in 1914? Why 607BC not 587BC? There is no proof of 607BC anywheres other than WT publication. Why did the pyramid point to all the dates that Russell taught and was believed to be God's witness in stone only to be labeled evil by Rutherford? Why did Russell change lengths of passageways in the pyramid in later reprints of Thy Kingdom Come and still came to the same dates as published in the earlier publications? If Russell was wrong about the dates he wasn't directed by God's Spirit.
I would start with that. Most don't have a clue about their own history and will have to research it. Thy Kingdom Come book is all you need. If you want ask more questions, move on in the history and go to Rutherford and ask how he was directed by God's Spirit?
Rutherford pointed to 1925, was he directed by Holy Spirit as he claimed? Why did Rutherford encourage reading Angels and Women when it was supposed to be inspired by a demon? Beth Sarim and Beth Sham. Where was God's direction there?
BTW you cannot be labeled an apostate since you were never a JW so all they can say is you're an opposer. 1914 is the key. That falls so does the entire WT deception.

The Dublin "apostasy" after Ray Franz incident - searching for the audio testimony of John May
by Nostromo ingoogle is not my friend anymore, it seems, i cant find a thing.. i was searching for the audio file where john may, the elder from dublin, tells his story when he traveled to brooklyn to find out the truth about the ray franz incident.
i do not mean the talk of his that you can find on 4jehovah.org or 4witness.org, this was a different audio testimony where he just basically tells what happened to him and to his irish elder friend merriman when they wanted to discuss the rf issue with the gb.
i had this file once but cant find it anymore.
