Miracles and the wonderful protection Jehovah gives to his people in todays world
by excito-are inthought i would tell you a story given by a member of the church i attend these days in scotland.
after a discussion about miracles in which i made my point that as being raised as someone who belived in god interacting with those in world with whom he truly loved, i had now come to an understanding that if god is the embodiment of omnipotence and goodness, then surely he would not play the role of a trickster who randomly throws miracles about like a trickster, causing chaos and a lack of understanding of the laws of nature due to this.
but it is the very fact of science and the laws of nature that show miracles to be uncommon, and that is is merely that man fails to understand that an certain event has yet to be explained through our knowledge of the world.

Thanks all who comment here
by excito-are ini would like to say a big thankyou to all that have commented here.
a really big thankyou.. as having being brought up as a jw, and believing all that sprouted from bethel as fact, there is no doubt this discussion board has speeded up my awakening as well as many other sources and experiances.
i have tended to take a lot from this site, and not give much feedback or my experiances as an jw, which i would like to change.

Why Jehovahs's Witnesses keep growing
by truthseeker init's a numbers game with the watchtower society - they love them.. numbers are everwhere - your time sheet, the number of minutes for talk # 2, the number of anointed, number partaking, number of times jesus arrives.. so why is the watchtower society still growing?.
answer?
there teachings work, for the most part.

Another non biblical practice by Jehovah's witnesses
by excito-are inmatthew 10.8 speaks about the preaching work and states " you received free, give free".
the society no longer charges for the magazines, but should witnesses still accept contributions from householders?
does this not conflict with the bible?

144,000---do they go through Armageddon?
by cameo-d inis there some scripture that the 144,000 must all be removed or no longer alive before armageddon begins?.
are they supposed to be "taken out of the way" before armageddon begins?.

History Channel Special on the Last Days
by SouthCentral ini had surgery this weekend and the history channel had a great special on the last days.
they actually highlighted the generation teaching and the millerites.
benny hinn was on and he stated that 1948 was the key year and the generation lasted 100 years.

The candy that makes us all combine to bring the watchtower down!
by excito-are inthe amount the times i browse the board and read some great posts destroying ideology that was once almost indestructable in jw world.
surely with all those great thoughts we can construct something to really bring down down what is ineffect a man made idea.
this will not happen overnight, but think long term 20 or 30 years.

Is the World Overcrowded?
by cameo-d inafter playing on google earth today, i couldn't help but wonder if certain places on earth are considered "over crowded".. seems usa and uk are almost totally surveillance societies.
i clicked on a camera and scrolled all over usa.
there are many major cities and densly populated areas that are marked in blue camera surveillance.
