You said that Russell publically denied being the "faithful and wise servant" do you have a reference for this?

In the beginning Russell taught that the FDS was composed of a class. BUt as early as 1896 (over 20 years before the "Finished Mystery") Russell started teaching that the FDS was an individual. In 1900 and 1904 year Watchtowers he argued for the slave being an individual. He also published several letters during his lifetime which praised him as being the salve. It seems that he promted the idea of him being the slave.

You are correct in saying that in the year 1927 the teaching that the FDS is a "class" was returned to. Although the current leaders of the Watchtower Society have covered up their history by saying that there was a classs all along.

I like question #3. The Watchtower says that since they admit to some of their "mistakes" that they are not a false prophet, because "false prophets do not admit to making mistakes".

All that a false prophet can do when his prophecy does not come to pass is to either admit it was false or say that it did come true (only "invisibly").

The Watchtower has done both (see Rutherfords Vindication book quotes in which thay admit that their prophetic dates did not come to pass.) Just because they admitted to their false prophecies in these books does not absolve them from being false prophets just as some one who admits to killing his wife is still guilty of murder even if he admits to the crime!

i am an inactive witness.

in my research i found that russell taught that secret measurements in the pyramids revealed gods plans for us.

reason why i'm here is, because one of my friend is jehovah witness, and we have discussed many things.

The name Jehovah is not found in any of the thousands of surviving new testament greek manuscript copies or even in several New World Translation new testament books!

Who has the latest WT CD-Rom?

i don't, i only have the 1995. i am needing help in doing some research.

if someone would be so kind as to help me, i would be very grateful.. whoever has the cd, could they do a search of all publications and tell me how many hits they get on the following scriptures (not including the bible itself, just the mags, books, etc.).

shes a devout jw who is highly thought of by most other dubs, shes on first name terms with the head boyz n bethel too.

for a lady dub shes pretty high profile, has never, ever been counselled about anything in her entire life and would be astonished if anyone should ever attempt to do so.

God is Jesus

i am looking for more scriptures that can prove to a jehovah witness that god is jesus, and jesus is god.i found only one verse so far in 1jo:5:20: and we know that the son of god is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his son jesus christ.

this is the true god, and eternal life.. if you know more scriptures that say directly that god is jesus please tell me the verses the jhw will see plainly that jesus is no way an angel, and he is jehovah god almighty.. my friend said if i can prove by the bible only that jesus is god he will leave the jhw society, and he will know that they are teaching lies and they would be to him a dogma religious sect.

my friend gave me a booklet called should you believe in the trinity?, and is jesus christ the almighty god.

What is the most unBiblical teaching of the JWs?

it has been said that the jws hold to many beliefs that are unnsupported scripturally and inforce many 'unwritten' rules which they refer to as 'principles'.. i would like to start off the thread with what i think is the most important unbiblical teaching that they need to promote inorder to exist.. the watchtower teaches that "a prophet is able to make mistakes while he is speaking for god and still be considered as true.

mind you that these are not slips of the tounge but doctrines and predictions that have been promoted for years and have only been modified only after the watchtower had no choice but to change them.. this in my opinion is the most unscriptural teaching that the watchtower promotes.

if it werent for this teaching then the watchtower would most definately have to be marked as a false prophet!

Islam reveals the truth

i was getting ready to leave when i overheard this and started watching it.. paul crouch is promoting this new book "the true forquan" (forqan).

it is written by arabic christians who are said to be scholars and the book has been qouted as being "a revealing look inside the koran".

they have already sent out 1300 copies and it is free so if anyone is interested here are the links.. .

The apostle Paul in the book of Galatians warned against receiving a different Gospel (Gal 1:6-9), even if it comes from an angel from heaven. The New Testament Gospel was the crucifixion death burial and resurrection of Christ (1Corinthians 15:1-6).

Muhammad's Quran supposedly received from an angel, says that Christ was NOT crucified, and that he was NOT the Son of God. I sincerely hope that the Trinity Broadcasting Network book points out the false teachings of Islam (the Quran also says that God is not a Trinity, while the Bible shows that He is).
