  Tell me---We all have regrets about being in the organisation,what's yours?

  Learning from every experience in life-good or bad- is my goal. But.... I find that there are a few things that I just can't take back from those days:

  1. Told on some friends who were engaging in 'immoral conduct' that resulted in one of them being disfellowshipped. At the time, it was 'keeping the congregation clean'. I feel horrible about that now-still.

  2. Didn't get a college education. My oldest son is in college now and the younger one will go also. It's a requirement of ours as their parents for them to do better then we did.

  3. Shunned my aunt who had left and joined a new religion. We have since reunited and put the past behind us but the time we were apart can't be returned to us. Damn, Stupid JW's separating families. Shameful!!

  4. Can't share with my mom why I left because it would force her to choose the JW's or me. I would NEVER want to put her in that position.

  How truly happy are you?

  i am just curious to hear of some you who have left the org completely, how happy are you?

  in my situation i feel like i am on a precipice and about to make a leap into the unknown.

  since i have told my family elders and wife that i will mo longer go to the meetings or out on service i feel as if a load has been lifted.

  I am 100% happy as well. It took awhile for me to break free of the mental grips the WT had on me but, time made it better. Once I realized TTATT(the truth about the truth), I embraced life with everything.

  The most difficult aspect for me was dealing with my mom who is still in. It has been hard to deal with knowing that she desparately wants me to return and that is never gonna happen.

  Gay and proud for a year

  wow... i cant believe it has now been a year since i accepted that im gay.

  it has been the best year of my life for so many reasons.

  i have met my boyfriend who i adore, i have stopped lying to myself, my family and my friends, i am doing really well financially and spiritually, and of course, i am no longer a part of a deluded and oppressive religion.. it feels so good to be free!

  I killed some Green Beans!

  hi folks!

  i went out tonight and did a little night shooting, then i cleaned my gun and put it back together.

  i killed a can of green giant green beans, a jar of beets (i hate beets), and i took out a baking pan!

  Loved your video! I can relate to everything that you said 100%! LOL at you telling the JW to "Scurry along." I hope that your husband and daughter are able to get out, too. It is truly wonderful to have your family on the same page.

  recently my son had a minor injury that required a trip to the emergency room.

  the admitting nurse asked us a ton of questions and then this:.

  nurse: do you have a religion?.

  I, too, have many to choose from but this is one that makes me smile. When my son was accepted at a university and we went up there for the 'orientation'. It was exciting to hear about dorm rooms and campus activities that he would be able to participate in. He is getting to have the normal life that me and his dad weren't able to.

  And that makes me smile big time!!

  my very dear friends brother died tragically at work a few years back-the employer's were at fault 100%.

  my friend cindy, her mom lily and his wife tammy-(all witnesses-not their real names) filed a lawsuit against the company and won a judgment of $1.2 million dollars.

  the check was cut and cindy and her mom haven't seen one penny of the judgment.

  Desirous of Change-I understand what you are saying and so do Lily and Cindy. Lily asked for a mere $35,000 of the $1,200,000 settlement to help settle her personal debts. Cindy asked for nothing. Tammy would still have $1,165,000 left. This greedy bitch said that she can't afford to give Lily anything-that she needs all of it to survive on. Tammy and the deceased had no children and no outstanding debt when he passed.

  Cindy and Lily are very humble, kind people. Tammy mislead them when the settlement papers were being signed. They are not selfish or greedy in any way.

  I still miss Teena Marie...

  it was 1 year ago today that she died, way too soon.

  she was a great singer and songwriter and i was lucky enough to see her in concert twice.

  unlike these no talent hacks out nowadays, she really could sing, write, and play instruments.

  I LOVE TEENA MARIE!! Me and the husband went to see her in Detroit at Chene Park. It was a gorgeous summer night and she rocked the house! So glad that I was able to see her in concert before she passed. It was a performance to remember forever.

The check was cut and Cindy and her mom haven't seen one penny of the judgment. Not sure how that happened since they were in on the suit initially.

  Cindy is inactive but Lily isn't. Lily attempted to speak with the elders about this when the settlement check arrived and the daughter in law told them to never contact her again, that they weren't getting any money, she needed it to survive. The elders told Lily it was a 'family matter' and that they couldn't get involved. Being the good witness she is, she dropped the matter.

  Eighteen months have passed and Tammy still refuses to speak with Cindy or Lily. Lily has retained an attorney and filed suit against Tammy. When Tammy received the court papers, she went to the elders. One of the elders told Lily that if she continued to pursue this lawsuit, she could be disfellowshipped! Really? And stealing from your Mother and Sister-in Law, your dear husband's only family isn't a disfellowshipping offense?

  I was very upset when I heard what the elders told Lily. She has been a loyal witness forever. It's just shameful.

  Now, what can i say to my friend to help her see the 'wrongness' of the elders and maybe open her eyes to the WTBS?

  everytime i read a page of topics, i can't help but accept that the witness religion is such a fraud.. keep up the good work in exposing the watchtower society!.

  I am out for good! However, when I first started my journey, this site was immensely helpful in exposing the WTBS for what they truly are. I would recommend to anyone who is unsure to check out this site and JWFacts to help you remove any doubt you may have.
