Sounds to me like there may be a crack in her 'spiritual' armor. It might be very small but a crack never the less.

short experience about my uber JW family and neighborhood block party
by cult classic inshe has been out in field service with her family and goes on to tell me of all the spiritual activities they have planned for the fall.
all of her children are homeschooled and pioneering.
she actually said, "well maybe i will send them over, but they have rehearsal for the special assembly day program.

That is great for her children to be able to play with others and have a normal childhood experience.

New court docs for Menlo Park KH scandal
by Juan Viejo2 ini've been fighting computer problems for over a week, but i finally got a new article up at ex-jw.com about the status of the court case in san francisco.. the plaintiffs will be going to court this week and possibly again in ten days.
the big issue is the bank account statements and signature files.
plaintiffs claim that defendants opened up unauthorized bank accounts and allegedly forged the then current coboe / ceo's signature.

Mass Apostasy- Sign of the LordÂ’s presence
by mankkeli inthis quote is from the watchtower 1980 8/1.
"are you profoundly shocked and unduly disturbed when you see or hear of a christian you know yielding to doubts, cooling off and perhaps even becoming rebellious to the point of deserting the christian congregation and trying to draw others away with him?
if so, you may be comforted in knowing that, sad as such occurrences may be, the scriptures forewarn us that they will happen.. among the various causes of apostasy, one of the foremost is unquestionably a lackoffaith through doubt.

Since leaving the JW's for good, I have found more joy than I thought was ever possible. My life is more productive, calm and JOYFUL!
So, I have to say that the JW's view of a so-called apostates life is very wrong.

Do you give to beggars?
by jean-luc picard ini have seldom given money to beggars.
i have often thought that many are people who just do not want to work.
however, i am starting to wonder if i ought to: and how much to give?.

QuestioningEverything
I do give to some beggars/homeless. Most often, I will give $1 or whatever change I have. It makes me nervous to pull out my wallet in front of a stranger who needs money. That sometimes prevents me from doing so.
Where I am from, there are quite a few very poor people, they wait outside stores, on the side of the roads at intersections. It is so sad to me.

My wife...
by dontplaceliterature in...made an interesting comment last night.. some of you may know that she is not into digging up dirt on the wtbts.
she realizes that there are some things wrong with the organization, but wishes to just ignore them for the sake of stability and preserving friendships.
there's obviously more to it, but in the interest of staying on topic:.

just save every other seat!!!
by oompa ini was just reading a funny thread posted by fallen_princess about stupid jw directives and something about seat saving came up....it reminded me of how i foiled the crime of seat saving at conventions....i would just save every other seat and it usually worked saving every third seat....i mean who walks in and picks a seat where you have to sit next to sombody else??
?...............i loved breaking rules i guess..................oompa.

JW directives you thought were downright stupid
by fallen_princess ini remember one time when i was about 17 years old, i wanted to arrange a costume party for the young brothers in the congo around my age.
i suggested it to one of my friends and was told that the elders had advised against it because it could be construed as pagan and masks have their roots in demonism.
of course, i was never shown any biblical proof of this but just that response took the wind out of my sails and i decided to just not go through with it.

At our hall, the sisters weren't allowed to wear shirts with prints on them. An example of this is one time my sister had a shirt that had an anchor with some writing about a yacht club. Another sister pulled us aside and said it was inappropriate to wear that.
Now, I wonder what scripture that was based on.
