My condolences Karla and Paula.
As tough as it is to lose a parent, it is heartening to hear that all of her children can be there at the end, and that you seem to have accepted the situation.
Hmmm
karla and i came home for a quick shower and a change of clothes.
we ask that you keep our mother and our family in your prayers.
we posted a few weeks ago that our mother had been diagnosed with pancreas cancer and was given 6-18 months with chemo.
My condolences Karla and Paula.

Hmmm
this is a true story.
i do not bullshit about stuff like this.. everybody knows i'm agnostic, and most of you know that i lump wicca right in there with all the other religious beliefs as being just one more crock of lies, and have pissed off sunchild and sirona and a few others with my observations about wicca.
well, as i continue on my path of mellowship, i've mellowed toward wicca as well.
Well, as I continue on my path of mellowship, I've mellowed toward wicca as well.
If I woke up and someone with daggers was making gestures over my heart, I'd be dismellowshipped right fast!
Hmmm
Viv,
For you to abandon your friend during a tough time to spend extra time with a woman you hardly know and others you dont know at all could be considered selfish and insensitive to your friend... of course you can't tell your father that. You're doing the right thing, showing up for a family function but also setting aside time to be there for a friend. Maybe your father really wants you to develop a relationship with his mother and is obsessing a bit. If you've already explained that you're trying to make both him and your friend happy on that day, then you've probably done all you can right now. He'll probably come around eventually.
Hang in there,
Hmmm
received this email this morning:.
good day,.
with warm heart i offer my friendship, and greetings, and i hope this mail meets you in good time.
As much as I hate to feed into anyone's paranoia about posting here, I also got the same email this morning to my JWD email address.
I've had this email for a little over a year and it gets twenty times as much spam as my other email addresses, which I've had for probably four years or so.
Then again, spammers and email address brokers scan many many discussion boards for legitimate email addresses, so it's not necessarily a disgruntled JW out to rain Jehovah's Righteous Spam upon the frenzied apostates of JWD.
Hmmm
i just had kinesiolgy tried on me last night, and by god it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
really freaked me out!!!!!
!
Logical,
Where have you been, and how did you get ahold of SixofNine's account password?

Well I hate to be the skeptical curmudgeon (ok, I dont) but what was the salt shaker made of? Was it glass... ceramic? Seems to me to be indicating that ingesting ceramic or glass would be bad for you. If you held an empty shaker up to your chest and your arm went limp on you, would that indicate that what was inside (air) was bad for you?
Hmmm
fyi...in case no one else has posted this.
the williams sisters are going to be on oprah today....wonder if they'll do any "national witnessing".
judging by the commercials for the show, they must be setting new trends in proper dress for jw's.
moman,
Every time I hear Venus or Serena speak on TV they sound like they're laughing inside. I've never taken it as arrogance. It usually seems a little bit like nerves, and mostly just how they speak.
Anyway... I'm not sure it's a very nice thing to do; posting her email on a public discussion board. If she gets bombarded by emails from 'angry, demonized apostates' it's only going to make this site look bad.
Hmmm
so i'm having a get together for my family.
the "pit" is going, the suds are flowing, and the sound from the tv permeates the air.
i look over and i notice that i've carelessly left my laptop in a place where it's easily accessible.
Soooooo, the old "accidentally left my laptop out and turned on" trick. Gets 'em every time!
Good news, O4G

i was invited to be a guest speaker at the saturday night aa speaker's meeting.
this meeting usually has a large crowd and they get somebody with longtime sobriety to come up and tell his story of "what i used to be like, what happened, and what i'm like now" as an example for others.
i'll have eight years in january, so i guess that makes me fairly longtime.. i told them:.
COMF,
Add my name to the list of back-patters and well-wishers. That was a well-written experience. Next time, we want you to work on audience contact and use of notes.
Hmmm
i thought that the best team in the nfl deserved their own thread.
actually, i am not a huge football fan.
i do not watch much sports at all.
Musky,
You must understand that I'm posting from Lion's country. We dont have much to talk about with our team, so we just complain about others.
Favre has a bit of a reputation for complaining when he plays division rivals and gets roughed up. Detroit did it to him a few times at home, and I believe Tampa Bay has handed him his head a time or two--though GB usually wins the game, anyway--and he sounds like a little nancy boy (no offense to any nancy boys out there) after the games.
Just pokin' a little fun,
Hmmm
