Am I wrong for being angry at my dads funeral last year?
by shakyground inthat's the question that i have been thinking about all day for some reason.
it's 5:30 am and i been in and out of sleep all night.
let me go into further detail to explain.

When my Dad dies I will not go to the KH. When my Mom died in 09 I went to KH, they hardly talked about her and hardly anyone there. My Mom was not very active even before the dimentia so the Brother giving the talk had to make excuses as to why she was not out in service and that my Mom had her own special way of spreading the "Truth". I wanted to jump out of my seat and punch him right in the mouth! My Mom was such a loving and giving person and I don't think she really believed in the "truth" anymore. I wish I had a chance to talk to her about everything I have learned about the WTBTS. My Fiance ("worldly") said it was the worst funeral she had ever been to. There were more "Worldy" relatives there than JW's. I feel that if she had belonged to any other church she would have had so many friends there to celebrate her life. I hate the WTBTS!!!

For those without Mothers
by Lady Lee inmothers day can bring up many issues for some of us.
for some their mothers have passed away and the opportunity to say i love you in person is forever lost.
for others our mothers are lost to the borg.

My Mom passed in October 09. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her and how she had unconditional love for all her kids. My mom never shunned my sister when she was df'd and I know she would not have shunned me either. My Mom loved her kids and never let the WTBTS tell her how to treat her kids. I never celebrated Mothers Day with my Mom and I hate that because she more than deserved that day of recognition for a job well done. I will go to my Mom's grave today, give her pink roses as she loved pink roses and tell her Happy Mothers day and a job well done in teaching me unconditional love.

my double life started in third grade...how about you?
by oompa inall i discovered back then was i did not feeling like a freak!....i really started liking girls then, so found a way to make valentines and love notes like everyone else even though my parents were very clear to teacher i was to be sitting in the flukkin library for every holiday, birthday, you name it!!!
i wanted cupcakes dammit!!!

I sang "Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer" in 1st grade in a Christmas program they held in the Gymnasium. It was during regular school hours so my parents did not know about it. I really enjoyed feeling like all the other kids and I wanted so much to have Christmas.

I was df'd in 2006 and was trying to get reinstated and I stumbled across this board and some others. When I saw that Russell had measured the pyramids I could not believe it! Of course then I realized the 1914 date was total BS.

Elder arrested for stalking
by iceguy ini just read in the police blog that an elder that went to my former cong was arrested for stalking.
i knew his family well and he is married to my cousin.
this elder and his wife had recently shunned me at the grocery store.

Wow!!! What a soap opera! I just found out he told his wife he does not love her anymore, beat her to the point she had to go to the hospital and he likes some other woman and has been stalking her. I also understand the abuse of his wife had been going on for sometime. I can honestly say I never thought he would ever do something like this. I feel bad for his wife and kids.
