James....
Everybody just quit, breathed in the clean fresh air outside the prison, and got on with their lives.
Priceless

Is There A Nice Way To Say, 'It's Dying?'?
by metatron ini got into one of those extended conversations with relatives i haven't spoken to in ages.
it was full of things unsaid and careful avoidance of saying too much about the organization.
lots of nice social hypocrisy, so nobody gets upset in the fairy-tale world of watchtower-ism.. is there any discreet, tactful, inoffensive way to tell them, "the organization is dying"?

Stuck...
Education is demonized, which means that the next generation (non overlapping) will be stupider than the previous generation
How can that even be possible?? LOL

Repent because God's Kingdom has drawn close!
by Kosonen inhere on this forum there are so many sinners, many here are doing things that will bring god's wrath upon themselves.
consider yourself if you in some aspect fit the description in romans 1:28-32:.
and just as they did not approve of holding god in accurate knowledge, god gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting, filled as they were with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, badness, being full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malicious disposition, being whisperers, backbiters, haters of god, insolent, haughty, self-assuming, inventors of injurious things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, false to agreements, having no natural affection, merciless.

Was Your Life As A Jehovah's Witness HORRIBLE???
by minimus ini can't say my life was ruined because i was a witness.
still, i wish that my upbringing was different.
there's a lot i don't like at all about the witnesses but by the same token, there are some very good people who happen to be jws.. i'm sure some of you hated your life as a witness and i'm sure you have valid reasons..

I had a sweet childhood, even though my parents are 3rd generation fanatics. They were kind, loving and fun parents and I had four awesome siblings.
My marriage to a JW clone (if I may steal Ziddina's phrase) was HORRIBLE. 20 years of being a prisoner - everyday was hell with that man because the f'in cult! He used the cult as a form of blackmail

Worldly Kids at a Bus Stop - I see why JWs home school!
by skeeter1 inthis morning as i was driving back home from putting rug rat #2 in pre-school, i saw one middle-school boy throw another kid into some thorny bushes at our local bus stop.
the kid sailed through the air and landed face down.
i stopped to see what had gone down.

Are you sure leaving the JW religion has made your life better?. Lurkers think twice
by mankkeli inon this forum, i have carefully read most of the experiences of those who left the jw religion, i have even read experiences that have dated back to 2001, i have read the different circumstances surrounding their exits and what ensued upon leaving.
for the majority, i observed they are better remainning in the religion than leaving.
what benefit is there to strain family relationship because you want to be free?, please tell me, of what value is that freedom?,.

Please ask yourself this question, If I leave this organization how would my exit improve my relationship with those I love most
It created a bond that can never be broken with my girls. My two daughters practically worship the ground I walk on because I rescued them at 13 and 14 from a cult that would have denied them the university education that they are so much enjoying tiday.
I reunited with my brother Derek that I absolutely adored my whole life. I had cut him off for years due to him being disfellowshipped. When I left the cult, Derek and I spent almost every possible minute together eating, drinking, laughing, playing, vacationing etc for 11 months until his untimely fatal motorcycle accident.
And you think you have the audacity to even hint that those 11 months were somehow in vain. F...You! Go crawl back in your hole where you belong!!

Disfellowshipping Rescinded!
by 00DAD inhas anyone been successful in getting their disfellowshipping rescinded?
i specifically do not mean getting reinstated.
i want to know if anyone that was disfellowshipped was able to officially and through the congregation and/or the organization have their status as a "disfellowshipped person" changed without getting "reinstated" through the normal procedures?.

My cousin (Restrangled on this forum) was disfellowshipped in the 70's in Chicago. The decision was appealed and lost. The DF'ing was announced, however her parents pulled in some real heavy weights from Bethel. The DF'ing was reversed.

Did you ever think.....'Why Don't We Kill Off the Anointed'?
by Diest ini know it is an odd thought but when i was 7 or so and suffering through a meeting, i thought.....'why dont they get them in one room, and get rid of them so that we can live in the new order.
' afterall they are going straight to heaven to rule with jesus....not like death is a bad thing in that case.. it makes me laugh now at the simplistic mind set.
but on some levels it was a genius idea...well it was before i realized that it was a sham..

Diest - I think that would make a good Question to the Readers...
Dear Brothers,
Who do you feel has the bigger mental dilemma, the mentally ill anointed, or the mentally diseased apostates?
Waiting with a humble mind and disposition for your holy spirit backed response.
Hugs and Kisses,
D.
