  If some one ask a question they cant answer. The person asking that question is a bad person.

  Better than that, the person is under the control of Satan and is trying to "trick" the JW into leaving the flock. ANYTHING that would lead to them leaving the flock is a trick by Satan himself. Satan is very tricky, so he may very well be able to create the illusion that the Borganization is wrong about something, but we know that anything that makes it look like people don't need the Borganization is a trick by Satan. So ACTUALLY the more evidence looks like the Borganization is wrong, the more we are sure that Satan is after us because the Armageddon is SOO near. Satan will get more and more tricky as the time grows closer, so we need to believe even more blindly than ever in order to survive. Oh.my.spaghettimonster!!! I can feel my forehead heat up as I try to think about the mental lives of Jehovah's Witnesses. Bring_the_Light

  I'm sick of my instructor so much I want to quit college!!!!

  i'm not gonna quit, though i have the strong desire to do so.

  we're in week 7 and my grade sucks in this class.

  i understand most of it but he is so picky that no matter how well written there is always so many points taken off.

  1. Identify youself as an Ex-JW/Apostate.

  2. Show up at door in underwear and IMMEDIATELY invite them in, have pre-positioned porn playing on the television, act like there's nothing wrong, mute the porn but leave it on like it was the evening news or something talk totally about how interested you are in their message and how you can be saved in Armageddon.

  one thing that jw's teach that i can't abide by is that god allows bad things to happen so that he can vindicate his name after satan challenged him in the garden of eden.

  if you tell me that god is loving, than you cannot also state that he would allow an earthful of people to suffer starvation, cancer, war and countless other atrocities simply so that he feels better about being challenged.

  he's god -right?

  difficult to understand how even heavys that taught about having a relatinship with god now proclaim that it was imagined after leaving the truth.

  puts into question appointments and people serving.

  i can understand if some one new leaves the org.

  Everyone of my classes I've gotten a B+ or higher but with his class I'll be lucky if I get a C-...Ugh, there goes my GPA!

  Don't worry about it. In spite of my being a genious, I got a D+ in a class once. I have lots of very good excuses, including the prof. didn't speak English, but in the end failure is the best experience you can ever have. I learned more from my D+ than every other class I've aced.

  Its life. Be assured that nobody gives a flip what your GPA was once you get into the real world. I wound up (after transfer credits were not weighted in by UofM, there are no "easy" classes whatsoever in the following number) with a 2.995 GPA when I graduated. Can you fucking believe that? They had to report 3 digits after the decimel just to screw me.

  LOL, I obviously can't do it here, but I was a Combat Engineer in the Army. When people ask what our MOS (job) is rather than respond verbally we would do this thing where you put an anxious look on your face, extend your foot out in front of you and tap it on the ground moving back and forth. The minesweeper pic would be funnier to me if it alluded to that tradition.

  What's Your MAIN Reason For Not Believing In "The Truth"?

  my mother had this discussion yesterday.

  basically, my main argument was that if the fds gets jehovah's holy spirit and their "food" is "the truth", yet they always are correcting themselves, how can anyone in all fairness believe it's "the truth"??

  you can't show scripturally why organ transplants are a form of cannibalism and clearly a disfellowshipping offense and a couple of years later after possible disfellowshippings or death, and then believe jehovah god changed his view suddenly.

  None of the details ever mattered to me. I saw too much "anti-Truth" such as compartmentalizing dissent, discouraging education, discouraging questioning, social controls etc. The means by which the Borg advance the truth, looked an awefully lot like how one would efficiently propogate a lie, so I assumed it was a lie.

  I'm pleased that upon doing my homework, my hunch is correct.

  even though i found the terminoloy unfamiliar, the principles.

  are the same as found in the watchtower organization.

  I don't get it, do Scientologists have an "Armageddon" coming that they need to be prepared for? Whats the premise of their Schtick? Everything I know so far is all about new age psycology, not even a hint of religious dogma. I talked to a pair of scientologists who were prostlytizing on the UofM campus. I gathered they were crazy as hell, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what they were trying to get me to believe. Just kept talking about "wisdom" and happiness etc.

  I heard something about how they believe there is a spaceship hidden on earth, aliens are god, etc.? Anybody have the scoop on Scientology? or is it some shit like the Masons where you have to be in for 50 years before you learn everything?

  thought i'd just take a few seconds to introduce myself and say hi.. i'm an exwitness, df, left in the 90s, well and truly over the issues, run my own businesses both online and offline, single, 40s, male.. looking forward to talking, sharing, discussing a variety of subjects with any/all of you.. busy right now doing seo work for one of my numerous websites, will get back to this in the next day or so, when i can find the time.. great to be here amongst others that grew up in the witnesses.
