The theological duality of there being an evil dark god and there being a good light giving god goes far back before the ancient Hebrews or Canaanites, it actually existed thousands of years before with the ancient Egyptian theological beliefs and practices .

What do JW's believe about the Anti Christ? Been out for 20 years, don't remember lol...
by bobfish ini was watching a video saying with tongue in cheek saying that trump was the antichrist listing all the scriptures and prophecies... was kind of funny but it made me wonder what the heck do jw's believe?
was it that it's other religions or some such garbage?
i don't seem to recall it being a specific person but honestly i don't recall at all.

as opposed to blind faith/cognitive dissonance and honest mistakes.. i'm inclined to think they have the best of intentions and are just wrong (primarily because the bible is wrong), but i'm willing to consider the evidence otherwise..

I think what AlainA is trying to assert on this thread is that the GB men or past presidents of the WTS were just misinformed good willed and well intended people.
When you look at the activity of these men you see power seeking opportunist men who were willing to publicly pose themselves as selectively god's chosen ones who were being directed by god's holy spirit to preach a truthful and accurate preaching of Jesus's new kingdom order.
They weren't they were just commercialized false prophets preaching a false gospel not in line at all with Jesus's own instructions.

Bad as fear mongering corrupt religoius charlatans who created their own subsequent power by this means.
Thousands of people died because of these men, their self built cult also instigated the suicides of many as well.
Their cult ruined and broke apart millions of families by now, particularly when it introduced disfellowshipping. (1960's)
In short their bad intent came from their constant endeavor self empowerment which nourished a consequential delusion of power, the receiving money was another part of that corruption.

What about the symbols? In my mothers (PIMI) congo the elders require the
simple publishers to prepare the bread and the wine at their home, each of them,
even if no one is of the anointed.
The whole point of the memorial event is to past the bread and wine emblems as instructed by Jesus.
He did not say only the 144,000 anointed ones are only to partake in his remembrance.
The JWS screw this up by asserting that only the supposed anointed ones are to partake, where in most Christian faiths all members are to partake to individualize their personal devotion to Jesus Christ.

Coronavirus Positive

i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.
i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.
