To the point , it might be very well that criminal corruption within certain areas of China could be responsible tor the sale and marketing of certain wild animals in wet shops for food or medicinal purposes.
The market in Wuhan, which was closed down after the outbreak, had a wild animal section, where live and slaughtered species were on sale, including body parts of camels, koalas and birds. The Guardian reports that an inventory at one shop listed live wolf pups, golden cicadas, scorpions, bamboo rats, squirrels, foxes, civets, hedgehogs (probably porcupines), salamanders, turtles and crocodiles.
As far as we know, bats and pangolins weren't listed, but authorities in China will have intelligence on what animals were being sold, says Prof Ball. "If the spillover's happened once, you want to know whether or not this sort of thing can happen again, because it's important from a public health standpoint," he says. "And so you need to know exactly what species of animal it's in and also what were the risks that gave rise to that spillover event."

Prof Jones says the rise in infectious disease events from wildlife might be because of our increasing ability to detect them, growing connectivity to each other, or more encroachment into wild habitats, thereby "changing landscapes and coming into contact with new viruses the human population hasn't seen before".

Naa... dont hold your breath on that people have a tendency to get closer to their religions in times of peril and trouble, so this is most likely going to happen to people who are JWS as well.

Is herd immunity even a useful concept in relation to this virus if that’s the case?
Yes in a sense that you can restrict infections temporarily until a vaccination is found or reduce the over all numbers to effect the number of deaths.
What the health officials are attempting to do is contain the majority of infections, which from my personal opinion is pretty hard, based upon how the virus transfers .
The best way to block this virus to transfer to yourself is to restrict being public as much as possible and wash carefully after you do..

it was a long process for me, as a mind controlled born in, things i simply did not agree with, or knew were downright wrong, that built and built, and, eventually i woke up, after 58 bloody years in !.
but just mainly for fun, what should have woken you up ?.

Probably it should have been the actuality of there being thousands of christian based faiths but only a couple including the WTS made proclamations that mankind is living in the last days and that since starting in 1914 is last living generation to live in the old system of things before Jesus's new world order was to appear.

by RULES & REGULATIONS ina while back, we had a saturday wedding reception for a brother and sister from our kingdom hall.
the reception ended at midnight.
most of us got home at around 1:00 a.m. our sunday public talk meeting started at 9:30 a.m. .

When you think about it JWS are just in a endeavoring state of reiteration emulating the bible's documented expressions of human ignorance.
Like the apparent existence of human ignorance which existed 3 thousand years ago never happened at all.
Yet we have so much more knowledge of what happened in those ancient times, why the people then thought about the active world in which they lived and why they thought those things.
To them the gods in the heavens were responsible to what happened here on earth, which to their understanding directly effected them.
Religions like the JWS are actively embracing the fear, ignorance and superstition of those ancient people to the determent and folly to themselves and perhaps to the rest of humanity living today.
