I wasn't going to read this at first because it seemed a bit long. Once I started though I couldn't stop. The parallels between Scientology and JW's are amazing. And it just dawned on me why they hate psychiatry so much, why Tom Cruise was so against it. Psychiatrists know how cults work. Excuse me while more light bulbs continue to get turned on in my head the more I'm on this site. JWD rocks!

JFK...OMG Armageddon
by Poztate ina post triggered this memory for me and perhaps for you.
i don't know if this was widespread or a local thing.. john fitzgerald kennedy was the president of the united states... he was also catholic in faith.
it was wide believed at the time and in our location that he would institute programs against the wtbts that (could) leave to armageddon.

I wasn't alive then either. A lot of people thought Slick Willie would bring it on. Now it's either Slick Willie's wife or Obama.

Skeeter, Carter is a far better ex-pres than he was pres. As far as worst pres, it's hard to top Dubya. Gas prices have tripled since this Texan with friends in the oil business gained power. When Katrina b*tch-slapped New Orleans he dropped the ball big time. And nobody wants his current Vietnam.

I enjoyed the "Greatest Man" book because I dig Jesus. I also enjoyed the "Mankind's Search" book probably because it gave an overview on religions other than the one that was shoved down my throat on a daily basis for decades.
