Any Russell/Rutherford wannabes out there???
by lrkr inok- nows the time for any of you really ambitious, organized, self motivated people out there to get moving.
write a book or two about the coming great change in 2012. link it to obscure bible prophecies.
wait for something to happen (doesn't really matter what- war, terror attack somewhere, death of the pope, worse flu season than most).. then claim divine providence.

I do like Rutherfords taste in cars and that magnificient house he built called Beth-Sarim - for the coming of the prophets of old in doomsday 1925...heck - it wasnt inspired prophecy (only prophets 'in a sense') - but he believe it in so much to build the house and add some of those old prophets from the past on the deed..i crackup on that one...

How many of the 144K anointed were in your congregation
by MOG ingrowing up in the spanish congregation in chicago - i knew 4-5 of this supposed anointed.
all of them no longer are jw, 2-3 of them started their own religionthe other 2 was a mother and son.
they never went house to house, never raised their hands in meetings, never went to the book study we held is our own private homes.

Gen 18:1-15 - who are the 3 visitors

its looks like one of them is god since the lord talk to abraham and sarah was afraid thereafter for having doubt, but i do not want to take this in a literal sense.
2 of them seems to be angels... help with the translation.

The very 1st verse of the translation link you provided (thanks), sounds very trinitarian to me...Abrahams calls GOD "Master", then Lot calls them in the following story the 2 others MASTERS as well..this all too confusing..How can there be 3 masters?
The two following verse confuse me because I am looking at in a literal sense...One says the same as the other (other in this sense being GOD)

I wouldnt worry about hurting your mom..Was her mom a JW as well (your grandmother or grandparents)..if they are not, did she hurt them with becoming a JW..Probably not...so she should react the same way they did..Please dont forget that shunning is a guerilla attack to get you back to the religon, it never is because you come back because GOD wants you to, its because of the punishment and loss. Once you get over that hump, as many of have..It becomes a clearer that maybe youd wish you had done it sooner...for some of us..nto so much for me..I left at 17-18..
