after laylas' : do you think looks are important thread, thought this would be a good follow up.. personally i'm just a regular girl, nothing exception, got good teeth, i do love my hair and don't think i'm ugly, but know that i'm no stunner either .

I love my current job as a Graphic Media Artist / Video Production, but I my real dream would be to be a screenwriter and see my scripts turned into movies.

Whole day ruined because it's a meeting night?

at some point nearly every day of the week was soiled by the prospect of some 'spiritual' activity.

it took me years of inactivity before i started seeing tuesdays and thursdays as enjoyable, without a shadow hanging over them.

wednesday was always my favorite day of the week.. .

I've been one of those that used my "sick" card waaaaay too much. I loved using it for a week-long illness. No guilt what-so-ever!

Yeah, meetings just wear you down ... didn't Jesus say “Come to me, all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."?

My wife is thinking AT LAST!!!!!

hey guys!.

i can't wait to tell you something that happened last night.

in order to understarnd it, let me give you some details about me first: i'm still an elder, with my wife and the whole family and friends inside the borg.

I wish I could get my wife to think for herself. I think she feels she has too much to lose because all her family are in the bORG and if she leaves - her whole world would come crashing down. Maybe it's better for some to stay just because of family and the risk of what judgment will bring ... besides, if she did leave, she would need a tremendous counselling session to get her life back on track.

Heck, I was only a JW for 9 years and I still feel their mentality lurking in my head.

I did notice that after leaving (DA'd) that I started liking people more ... all people. As a JW, I always viewed worldly people with suspicion and that they were "evil". Not anymore. I really like everyone now!

It's all very complex.

Going to the Prom not allowed as a JW

i didnt go to my prom because it was not allowed.

i didnt even bother to ask.

i don't regret it alot, but it would be nice to have a picture or two for memory sake.

Jesus warned us about worshipping in churches!

what did jesus mean when he warned that many would claim that christ was in the "inner rooms" in the last days (matthew 24: 23-27)?

the kjv doesn't call them inner rooms, it calls them "secret rooms".. the "inner rooms" were the holy of holies of the jewish temple.

in this day and age, those religions or secret societies who claim to possess hidden knowledge and priviledged information about things divine and occult can be considered the "inner room" or "secret room".. they will claim that jesus is "one of them", but not divine.. all religions claim to be the "true church" ... isn't this what jesus was warning us about?.
