  i'm going to ask you a question.

  but first, i'm going to set the question up properly.. the original christianity became officially established when the catholic church found constantine as its protector and defender in the mid 4th century.. that church grew mighty, powerful and exerted an influence over vast reaches of the earth.. the church had an absolute fetish for anything of nature deemed "holy" that might be a relic of jesus or his apostles or (as time went by) any saint.. this took the form of conserving the true cross, splinters from the true cross (one in the pope's ring!

  ) the bones of martyrs, robes, chalices, knuckles, fingers, etc.

  Hi Terry hope you've been well. I find this very interesting. I started a book club we voted on books to read, I have a list of them but the

  first one is "The God Delusion" I've been skimming the book before the start date. I have so many questions about the old testament. Things that I

  sure never remember even reading. I have questions about the Bible in itself. And yes you think things would have been preserved if it was truth why

  would it not. But the things I am reading well what is the truth.

  i was going through some old photos today, i found one of myself when i was a devout jw.

  it was really shocking!

  i'm so thin, my cheeks are hollow, i'm as white as the wall behind me, i'm standing hunched over, and in my eyes you can see real misery.

  my part of oregon is getting a dose of winter this weekend.

  in fact the cold weather started over the course of last week.

  the pond in front of my apartment is iced over and even the hardiest of canadian geese have stopped flying over looking for a spot to land in.

  Its a lovely day its Saturday after all....I love Saturdays. A day I call my own and light forecast of snow this afternoon and a temperature

  of -26 Celsius. The temperature will plunge to -33 tonight anf tomorrow and warm up by next week. Its fire place night and a good movie....

  What a scary nerve wrecking Day

  my son's girlfriends mom has an abusive boyfriend .

  today he has had her hostage by gun point all morning .. just now the police got her out to safety .. during the ordeal he called my son and made drunken threats to him too .. i am a nervous wreck .

  the police has the whole downtown evacuated and on close down until the issue is resolved .

  Is This Unusual?

  my jw wife went shopping last night for christmas presents for the supervisors that report to her.

  of course she didn't call them that, but we all know what a gift given by a manager on december 24 is..... is this unusual/progressive/liberal by jw standards?

  i would say, "yes" but i've been out of the loop for so long now......

  Are Your Feelings Hurt By JWs That Come Here And Say Nasty Things?

  well, let me tell you about my experience in dating a married woman about a year ago or so, i was dating a married woman, she did not tell me that she was married, but i found about it and i told her that i know that she is married, then she decided not to see me.

  she is really hot.

  well recently, i learned that my recent date is actually married, but she is also really hot, should i keep my mouth shut not telling her that i know that she is married, so i can keep the relationship with her, i would not mind because i really like her..
