  April "Pioneers" - a large army

  anecdotally , from my ( rapidly diminishing number of ) jw contacts , it does seem that the april 30 hour pioneer campaign is going well.

  some congregations have over 1/2 the publishers on the pioneer list for april , including all the elders & ms. .

  $4/gallon is very cheap, in the UK it's almost $10/gallon

  Our gallons are bigger than US ones... which makes our 10 gallon hats bigger than any Texas - never been brave enough to tell a Texan that though!

  The whole thing stinks! I've seen it happen so often - things won't change until elders realise they have an accounting for their judgemental attitutdes. (I'm only stating their rules - I refused to live by them)

  In my situation, I was disfellowshipped for adultery. But, this was after I found out my ex-wife had managed to hide the secret that our youngest daughter wasn't in fact mine. This secret was held for 14 years. The irony of all this is my mother can't/doesn't/won't speak to me but can have a conversation with my ex because she was never 'punished'. Go figure?

  I'm so glad I'm out of all this - now to get to grips with the shunning debacle. Some hope! I've been remarried for 3 years now and my gorgeous new wife has never met my sister and yet they have so much in common. I hate it all!

  UN & Watchtower : link deleted....

  hi everyone, someone just made me notice that the pdf document on the u.n. website proving that the watchtower associated itself as ngo from 1991(demand) to 2001 has been deleted or is missing.

  http://www.un.org/dpi/ngosection/pdfs/watchtower.pdf i sent an email (very short since they don't allow more than 200 characters) to the un to inquire.

  i doubt that they'll respond.i suspect that the watchtower pressured the un to deleted that link.....

  If this true (WTS got the UN to remove) then I'll just have to enjoy the irony that the WTS can't shout 'a victory' from the rooftops!

  Shame if it is not there - it really was a credible evidence.

  okay, before you fly off the handle--i wrote a blog on how my research proves jw's are a cult (no, i haven't read the cult book yet).

  somebody linked their own findings onto my site saying the opposite.

  When used to indict Jehovah's Witnesses, the word “cult” has no implicit meaning. It's basically just a slang term for a religion someone doesn't like

  Only JW would think and say this.... one day they will not deny the irrefutable evidence - it is, in fact, a CULT!

  did not see this as i cannot stand the programme personally, but tonight's episode was about a jw mother who died after refusing a blood transfusion.

  they apparently dealt with all the disfellowshipping, shunning etc.

  sounds like good advertising!.

  Wouldn't it have been good if they could have thrown the "fractions" argument into the pot..... that may have opened Joe Public's eyes to the rank hypocrisy of such a crazy dogma.

  Come to the think of it - do the medical authorities know about these, almost, contradictions? I always think it would be great if they could throw these arguments back into the faces of the HLCs. Love to see cognitive disonance spread across their arrogant faces.

  Car inspection woes

  i'm sure texas isn't much different from any other state.. we want clean air.

  so, the auto manufacturers came up with a glorified box of charcoal that "filters" out the pollutants (simultaneously making the energy output less efficient requiring yet more fuel) called a catalytic converter.. most cars' converter lasts about 10 years.. .

  i'm driving a honda accord from 1998. the coverter has given up the ghost and i don't pass the nox tests.. so.... i can't renew my registration and have to spend about $1700 to replace that stupid box of charcoal.. .

  I had my catalytic converter removed for free

  Me too - last Sunday, along with four of our neighbours! There is a scrap metal crime spree in the UK at the moment :( It's running into £millions - they're even stealing from railway signalling systems! They never seem to get electrocuted though - shame!

  CO's putting the screws on elder bodies, and ministerial servants to auxilliary pioneer this April.

  i have such a love/hate, 50/50 relationship with this organization any more, but a letter was read to the elders and ministerial servants that has pushed me to the 30/70 range in favor of hate, if even momentarily.

  most of you if not all are aware of the auxilliary pioneering initiative for this upcoming april.

  it's no secret that i'm not real fond of pioneering as its unscriptural for one thing.
