Finally finding my way out...
by cognac inwell, its been about 2 1/2 years and have slowly done less and less.
i've been to about 30 minutes of a meeting in the last month and a half where i stayed out back and with my daughter.. i've been looking for the right timing to leave but had decided i will go anyways by the time my daughter is about 1 years old.
but, it just so happens that my some members of my family including and mostly my parents have actually given me a good enough of an excuse to get out.. they have broken to many rules.

How long did the Watchtower Society's campaign against aluminium last?
by slimboyfat ini came across a discussion of the golden age magazine's anti-aluminum stance in a book on the history of reaction to government policy on fluoride:.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/fluoride-wars-americas-political-melodrama/dp/0470448334/ref=sr_1_64?ie=utf8&s=books&qid=1276764067&sr=1-64.
use the "search inside" feature to find the discussion of the golden age on pages 131 and 132.. among other things it says: "unbelievably, the golden age published over 130 articles railing against aluminium cookware between 1925 and 1969".. did the society continue to publish articles against aluminum as late as 1969?

I think 2 generations of cookware (Aluminium and Stainless Steel) overlapped at one point so it should end soon!
Ooops - reckon I've got muddled again

Ridiculous Comment By a Super JW
by mentallyfree31 ina few years back, before i had any doubts and when i was a hardcore jw, i remember a super-pioneer-jw sister was conversing with me.
i made the comment about some of my friends at work (all non-witnesses).
she stops me mid sentence and says "friends?

You mean you never went to a CA where they said, "Jehovah hasn't got a friend in the world"?

DPReview is a good site .... having been involved in photography for longer than I care to recall I've tried most manufacturers products.
Aside from the Nikon range which I use semi-professionally I heartily recommend the Panasonic Lumix range of cameras.
I bought a "bridge" camera a year ago as I was not "enjoying" carrying lots of equipment on our trips to Europe. Mrs. Hotspur (who is an excellent photographer and a staunch supporter of Fuij) wanted a pocket Panasonic. So we bought 2 recently... they are perfect and very robust.
You might like to have a look at these shots of Prague taken this year. Mrs. Hotspur slipped on some and broke her wrist, fell on her new camera but only the wrist was damaged!
