Excuse me, what idiot would get dressed up, shave, and sit through the so-called Truth when he knows its all bullshit? Loving other people is great, but you have to love yourself in this life too. Any friends you have to fake it to stay in that circle of friends are no friends at all. This is what is wrong with emasculated men today, having a woman choose the family's religion and it being the most anti-intellectual one out there, and then pretending to go along with it all. Book of Enoch?
by Soldier77 ini came across this a few weeks back while doing some online research http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/boe/ (i hope that's how you post links) and i'm curious to know if any of you have done research into this book and what are your comments/thoughts on it?.
i've read through the watchers and the adam and eve story, quite interesting opens up another angle of the whole "in the beginning".... how accurate is this book?
why was it left out of the bible?

I'm resurrecting this topic because this is the stumper. How does a Jehovah's Witness convince someone who believes that the Book of Enoch is Scripture that it is NOT Scripture?
If the Book of Enoch is not Scripture, then the book of Jude is not Scripture, since Jude quotes from Enoch. So for you to convince me that the Book of Enoch is NOT Scripture you must prove that the Book of Jude does NOT quote Enoch. Good luck clean shaven missionary.

More Young Indoctrination
by freemindfade innot sure how wide spread this is, but from my social media land i saw 2 separate videos, from two halls in completely different towns featuring their kids having a demonstration on the service meeting (i am guessing last night as i didn't go).
these kids are really young!

Funny you talked about TV in your OP. JWs banning the Smurfs might be something you remember. I think it has something to do with everytime the smurfs leave smurf village something bad happens. Same thing with the Hobbits and Lord of the Rings. JWs are little people who punish anyone who leaves their little smurf village to grow a beard and go on adventures. -

As funny as they look, the Sikh religion is one of the more rational faiths out there. Except maybe for the belief that dying on the job is the most honorable way to go out and a one way ticket to Nirvana. Sure beats the protestant work ethic. Their turbans beards and 'staches are awesome, the diaper fat breeches sometimes worn underneath their pants not so much. It seems like a dharmic religion that isn't for girlie men. -
