When you left how long did it take you to get out of the JW mind set ??
by karter inhow long before something happened (i:e 9/11) before you stopped thinking the big a was coming??.
i read 7 news papers a week it took me a long time to read about some big bad event without thinking this is it the big a is about to happen now i read it for what it is.. what about you.

in an instant , when a married elder that had been visiting me for years (with his wife) declared his feelings for me that he had a very long time (i had thought he liked me in a daughterly way ) i didnt understand why i was visited as i didnt receive the mags anymore or study , wish he had kept those feelings to himself but he thought i felt the same way .

anyway, i'm glad there is a wonderful support group for those who have escaped the grasp of the wtbts and enjoy life again without the constant fear that the wtbts instills at every meeting.

do you think the dubs will be allowed to watch this ?

beth sarim did it for me to , how sweet of him to offer to live in that mansion ,before the prophets were reserected, it must of been such hard work living there and driving smart cars that the rank and file no doubt paid for , if that dosnt convince someone nothing would !!!

my family that are not even jws get annoyed about me coming on jwd

my hub is disfellowshipped and not in the least bit interested in this site , which i find amazing considering everything that has happened , its not even a case of him being to scared to mix with apostates because he doesnt like jws and does not believe they have the truth , when i try to tell him anything , he tells me hes not interested, end of conversation .
there is so much i want to discuss with him (regarding the child abuse thing that has affected our lives ) do any of you identify with this ?

if a jw became aware of a crime , what would theybe advised to do ?
by looloo inif a jw person found out some information that meant that thier husband /brother /son had perhaps abused a child that he had denied abusing afterall , if they went to see the elders would they be advised to say nothing , or go to the authorities ?
bear in mind that this perp is currently serving a prison term for children he had abused when he was a min servant , but got away with the other child ,because of lack of evidence .
this information was brought to light by the childs family , that made the perps family aware of it , any ideas , would it be a conscience thing or "wait on jehovah" thing ?

if a married elder "came on " to a worldly lady
by looloo inwhat would happen ?
if he was really sorry about it would he get a telling off by his fellow elders or what ?

he told the worldly lady that rejected him not to tell anyone , and she didnt for a while but then she heard he was giving advice to single sisters about reporting married brothers that come on to them, so she felt pissed off at the hypocrisy of it and went to see an elder , she asked for his wife and kids not to be told as she was friends with his kids (he was 25 years older than her ) the outcome was , she lost her freinds and congregation gossip going round was they had been "at it for years" dont know if anything happened to him but i doubt it as he was very highley thought of and very "strong" in the truth, she wishes he had never said anything to her about his feelings for her , as it ruined everything , i also beleive she had a reputation as a trouble causer even though she did nothing !!!!
