We all deserve a grandmother like Sylvia.
Yes. Yes, we do.
... said my very handsome 16-year old g'son.. he's the obama-look-alike whose drawings leave people in awe.. why doesn't that upset me?.
thanks to all who have let me know that it's ok to express disbelief in a creator.. syl.
We all deserve a grandmother like Sylvia.
Yes. Yes, we do.
i was just reading a "where are they now?
" and the cast of leave it to beaver was highlighted.
that was a funny show.
I watched Branded, Carol Burnett, Dean Martin...
Love the original The Outer Limits.
i'm 19 and trying to get a job.
my dad won't pay for my college if i don't pioneer.. if i get a job, i can't pioneer while in college.. i can supposedly work and study, but i need a good way to get rid of pioneering (it was never my idea in the first place - blame the parents with their social coercion).. if i stop pioneering, i will be told by my parents that i don't love jehovah (not that i care what they say).. how can i do this as painlessly as possible?.
i want to move out someday and have enough money to do this.. by the way, if you read my started topics you will see my situation in more detail and that my dad is the coordinator of the boe..
1. Student loan. 2. Move out. 3. Part-time job. 3. Get living. 4. No regrets.
This. Or pinking shears.
well, time for an update.... new house is in the country, just over an hour out of the city.
we came up and camped in the new house on settlement night...much to the shock of the real estate agent who thought we were joking!
i mean, it does need some work, and the plumbing is dodgy but works, the bathroom has all the pipes exposed and the toilet is akin to sitting in an old shed.... any way, we stay and a friend loaded up the truck saturday night and delivered our furniture sunday morning, it was not a rest saturday though as the place resembled a rubbish tip.
Wow, exciting!
so my sister calls me and proceeds to tell me all about everything going on in her life.
all about her job and her apartment search.
tells me about my nephews demonstration at the ca this past weekend.
Good for you! Nice touch to apologize for upsetting her - not for living your life.
Congrats!
I was going to enjoy my life now and live life to the fullest and if her God wants to destroy me for that then that his problem.
LOL
there was a strange statement in last week's study article.
well, let's be honest: there were plenty of strange statements!
but one in particular bothered me.
I think this statement is nothing more than brainwashing people into thinking they are Deep, Meaningful and Have The Answers.
i haven't really looked at this site in the last year (or so), but i can think back to when i first found it.
it was at a time when i was going through a real transition period in my life.
and i am sure that this website 'sealed the deal' for my exiting the wtbts.
Cheers!
i know loads of old dubs who are in it just for the hope they will see there dead partner again in the new system and nothing else matters.. they would eat shit if it ment they see them again in the so called reserection after the battel of armpitagedon.
dont the bible state the ones reserected will neither given in marrage or anything else, so if you are a jw and waiting for the end to come you will never be with your old marriage mate again so you are waisting your time if you think you can re marry them in the new system.
this is a lie to keep you in the cult.
It may be that those that do not marry nor are given in marriage are those resurrected to Heaven rather the rest of us scum that come to Earth and play with lions.
i used to wonder, how people in "the truth" could do and say hurtful things.
how could certain people be appointed elders?
they were just kiss-asses or yes men.
Red Pillar: Exiting is a process, and one with many potential setbacks. Just keep remembering you've seen the light, and perhaps some day you can show it to others by doing what is only natural - tell them you love them and that you have to leave them, and invite them with you.
from page 22 (attitudes about homosexuality may differ from one generation to another or from one land to another.
but christians aren't "carried hither and thither by every wind of teaching.
" (ephesians 4:14) instead, they adhere to the bible's view.
Sex is not something to be deplored, but rather something to be celebrated.
serenitynow: they'll definitely get some "persecution", which is just what the WT wants. Getting rejected by their peers will make them cling to the cult even more.
This.
