I agree with LtCmd.Lore, and the fact that you started with "what are nothing" just freaked me out.
I have studied the human body on a macro and micro level, I have studied evolutionary biology and chemistry, all at university and I can safely say no one knows for sure, its all faith based.
Darwin has been rejected by biologists as has freud by psychologists, but it was a start.
You cant mix existentialism and evolutionary biology together. One is a process, one is a reason.
Further, you cant think of the universe and the Human as the "end game", we are not the superior being and we arent the zenith. i.e. a dog can run FASTER, an ape is STRONGER, a turtle lives LONGER, a rat breeds FASTER and a bat is a mammal that can FLY. I could go on.
We have our strengths but that doesn't make us superior, just better adapted.
The basic belief in evolution does not disproof GOD either plural or mono, it simply offers a "how" option which Genesis or the gnostics or muslims etc dont.
Genesis says that GOD created man from dust, we know that is not literal, dust must signify particles, atoms etc. Whether he did literally or by relying on predetermined mathematical laws is irrelevant. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandelbrot_set), in fact the process is completely irrelevant, what is of most importance is who and why, not how.
If you beleive in GOD , the process is of no importance, who cares if we were created from "dust", apes, giraffes or a mud puddle, we simply dont know. If you dont believe in GOD, you have to look at the WHY, WHO and HOW much more closely.

Upcoming Elders Schooling
by Questions1 init's no secret that the "organization" has increased it's cia, national security clerance only super-secret attitude in regards to the elder school that is going to be conducted soon.
a few days ago, i had a conversation with an elder who has been in the fold all of his life practically.
in keeping with the conversation style of jws, the gentleman told me that nobody knows what exactly will be taught at the meetings, but in his backdoor conversations with some brothers who seem to be tuned into the bethel's officially, unofficial, communications network, the elders are going to be taught "post-armageddon" teachings.

I would say alot of this is based on the fact that the American economy is changing, it use to be a nation of creditors, now it a nation of Debtors, foreigners own more American companies than American companies own foreign ones.
When I was in Bethel a Zone Overseer said that at that point the GB thought that China might morph into one of the Kings.
But if China does become the new economic super power, and they will, then the society will have to rethink Daniel and Revelation because as far as they are concerned, the buck stops with the Anglo American world power before the UN takes the lead.
That isnt happening, what is happening is minority nations are starting to stir things up in the UN, they want the Security council changed, they want the veto power of the big boys changed, this all doesnt fit the WTBS business plan.
The GB is spending alot of time convincing us that they are the authority at the moment and some feel this is a prelude to a "roll out" of changes.
I know they arent saying it in print but the "whisper campaign" is under full swing. Elders in my cong are seling houses and pioneering, people are putting off having children, people are saying theings like, what ever the GB askes us to do in the next 12 months, we should just do it.
Crazy!!! This is so 1975!!!
This subject is actually a thread unto itself, forget 1914, 1975, 2000 etc, we have prophecy of our day slowing dismantling. -

Big Announcement on next Service meeting
by The Lone Ranger inthere seems to be a very important announcement this coming weeking on the next service meeting, forme it will be on wednesday 30th jan.. during the last 2 meetings they have asked that every batized jw be at that meeting and even to tell others who might not have heard the annoucement.. anyone here have any ideas i wouldn't be surprised if they are changing meeting times and arrangments...less meeting at is !.

it always sounded to me like if we were all in some sort of cruel experiment to just prove a point, that apparently he (jehovah) already knows the outcome not that it's important because he is all powerful and he can change the outcome to fit his desire.. what do you all think?.

IM still active and I sense a change, seriously......they have a WT that does not have any guilt trip about going to the elders for sin, the Reasoning book has always said this and when its printed in a WT, it has always had the little disclaimer that you have to confess to elders, it doesnt say it here.
Billy, I did deserve a bit of a flogging, Its just the Nosferatu has been out for 12 years, and was never really in, so his comments wound me up, its easy to criticize!!

Nosferatu, i break my vow of silence to say that finally a watchtower points to the correct from of motivation, love.
Especially regarding service to Jehovah, meeting attendance and confession.
If you have missed the point, then I say boo hoo!!!
I hope this org has realized where they have gone wrong and try to correct it, stay tuned!!
Never before have they mentioned sin and not "commanded" one to confess to the elders, they only mention ones obligation to confess to Jehovah to me , thats progress.

Busted
by jefferywhat inmy incredibly sweet and intelligent girlfriend busted me on this site.
i have talked to her about most of my issues with the wbts and told her about the site, but due to the very strong similarity between my conversations and my posts, she has cracked open the case like the little detective she is.
i started telling her about a post i had put up tpday and how after quite a few months i have decided that religion is a piece of art and you cant argue over it, anyway half way through telling her she actually stopped me and said she had already read it along with all of my other posts.
