For me, chocolate is the ultimate diet wrecker.
And also my daily bowl of Lays while watching tv at night.
Oh! and I am a pasta lover...and I mean "PASTA LOVER"

Anyone see Criss Angel walk on water last night on A&E?
by sweetstuff inok, i'm not a person who takes what i see on tv as "real" but that was pretty darn mind blowing.
the guy walked on the hoover dam lake, people were coming into the water, checking out the water underneath him to make sure he wasn't walking on something and it appeared he was not.
holy crap, i watched in complete disbelieve yet thinking, how could you pull that off as an illusion?

Goodness, yes I did!!! Illusion or not, I was beyond myself.
Or when he made the middle section of the girl disappear!!! Yikes!!!

YOUR DAILY JOURNAL
by compound complex indear friends,.
much of what we do on a daily basis is routine and of no particular, earth-shaking importance.
however, after reviewing letters of family going back to wwii, it is fascinating to read what dad was doing on board the aircraft carrier in the pacific on any old day, what mom was cooking on her ever-steaming range, how i was dealing with the roller coaster of emotion at bethel [mom saved all my letters], how nana wrote that she would not study with the witnesses [per my request] but 'here are some mittens i knitted for you when you canvass new york with your magazines.

Ever wonder how seemingly smart people can be duped?
by fern indoes anyone ever wonder how their seemingly intelligent family members can be so totally taken in by this religion?
i look at my parents and just wonder how in the world do you fall for this jw crap?
neither of my parents are college educated but by no means are they stupid and have good judgement and sense when it comes to a lot of things, but not this religion.

I agree with Casper. It has nothing to do with intelligence.
I was also approached at a very vulnerable time in my life. I had no idea what "love bombing" was at the time, but I sure was bombarded. I quickly came to look forward to the weekly study over a cup of tea. They were all so nice to me at a time when I needed it the most. I was encouraged to ask questions on anything that bothered me.
But when I came out of their mold and started looking for answers on the internet, my intelligence took over and it soon all came together. Cults are so popular not because they try to attract idiots and morons. But they seem to attract those who are vulnerable. Those who search for more. And unfortunately, they do it in a very subtle way that often takes a while to detect.
So yes, I can admit I was very gullible. But not that my intellect is inferior in any way. -

Now I know that friend as my inner self.............I became good friends with myself.
And this is the cure for loneliness. After the inner self becomes a friend, one is never alone or lonely.
